Anyone else often smooth call the flop checkraise with this type of board and action while in position to raise a safe turn? Obviously in this case that would lead me to just call down...

I don't think you have much other option than to just call down here. That 3-bet is a pretty strong move, but given the notes you have on him, you have to take this hand to showdown.

As played, I think the turn is fine, and I like a check-fold...
