Re: JJ facing turn ck-raise

[ QUOTE ]
oops i actually messed up the flop action, but its interesting to hear responses on the hand with a slight variation.

the actual flop action was villain donked, hero raised, villain...

Re: JJ facing turn ck-raise

[ QUOTE ]
Anyone else often smooth call the flop checkraise with this type of board and action while in position to raise a safe turn? Obviously in this case that would lead me to just call down...

Re: blind battle played like a biotch

[ QUOTE ]
I would 3 ball PF and raise the flop. River is a must bet.

[/ QUOTE ]

Word. Not 3-betting this PF is a pretty big mistake, IMO. You have a ton of equity, there a lot of flops you...

Re: Blind defense scenario that comes up fairly often

PF I fold cause he's unknown. This is a very tough hand to play OOP against an unknown. Flop play is good and I'm betting every turn, except an Ace.

wow, this spot sucks. I think i would c/f.

Yeah i really don't think this is close. That flop is so dry and the only reasonable hand you beat at this point is something...

Re: BS donk against unknown?

Yeah I like a call down here. I'm likely folding to a 5 or 6 on the river.

Re: JJ overpair faces heat

I don't think you have much other option than to just call down here. That 3-bet is a pretty strong move, but given the notes you have on him, you have to take this hand to showdown.

Re: I get called a fish because of this river call.

The bet and call both look fine to me. You're going to get a lot of A-hi calls from MP here, and that raise is way too suspsicious to fold getting 6:1.

i always wonder the same thing
but i think on that board you have to c/r

Why this board? I'd think a board like AJ5 would make more sense because there are more gutshots...

Re: This should be simple..

[ QUOTE ]
Odd. My guess is that the LAG-TAG flopped a flush.

[/ QUOTE ]

Agreed, I don't see him checking through many other hands here.

Not maximizing?

Villain is 34/20/2.2/41 WTSD over 88 hands

I feel like I'm letting him off the hook too easy here.

definitely call down here. This is a very semi-bluffable card and he could even be making this play with an A6,77-99 type of hand as well. Maybe things are diff at 1/2 but...

[ QUOTE ]
Btw, unless this lag bluffs a lot (and with his stats he might) you should fold the turn.

Re: 5/10 PS - fold nut no pair vs possible bluffer?

I make this call on the river as well just because of the limited info you have on him. This type of guy you would expect to check-raise the flop with a FD and I agree, trips is pretty much ruled...

Re: Folded to you in the SB with 22

Very opponent-dependent. If the guy is real aggro or likely to play back at me with a weak hand, I'm folding it. 22 can be extremely difficult to play against these types of opponents. Against...

Agree with Leader here. I like this play if the dude is a maniac type that will be playing back at with you with virtually anything. However, you'll see a lot of loose flop peels, turn folds against...

Re: 5/10 T9o in the BB

I'm folding that flop. 2 players to act behind you, one of which being the preflop raiser, you'll be paying more than 1 bet too often.

As played, I think the turn is fine, and I like a check-fold...
