Re: Official SSSH LC/NC Thread for November!

How many videos are DC putting out now? I let my subscription lapse when they weren't even putting out 3 a week.

*edit* Forgot that UTG caps flop behind the check/3. It couldn't be worse. Neither capped pf so it's not KK/QQ. Supernit can't have 2p. If we don't fold AA here I don't think we ever...

Re: Calldown with 99

Yes, you don't beat anything besides lower pocket pairs and this type might not even raise with those preflop nevermind bet the flop, turn or river with them.

Re: Full Tilt 6max .25-.50 best river line

Fairly standard value bet for me, bet/fold probably. Way more combos of small pocket pairs, ace hi, 5s etc than jacks or nines.

Re: debatable flop ?

Button is probably folding with 99/88 and may well just have a big pair here (the way the hand went he must have JhJx)
UTG can have 88/99, AK or an optimistic AQ occasionally. Is 3-betting worth it...

Re: Every street debatable

Not sure about the flop, I'll often peel and evaluate. Bet-calling seems wrong to me, I assume you're betting because a LAG would put in more action with a draw thus his hand range is weighted more...

Re: .25-.50 6max - fold river?

You called the flop because you though he was capable of bluffing with a straight or diamond draw nothing much has changed; unless he has shown propensity to give up on the river I'd call.

Re: 44 BvB

Sounds like the type to raise any two against a limp, so I guess preflop is ok. I'm not sure why you'd want the lead against this guy though, just let him fire at you with his QJ or whatever.

Re: Heis vs Efficacy 2

Is this flop peel standard in a blind defense situation? Are we check-raise bluffing the turn some % of the time. I could see check-raising the flop or peeling if we had a backdoor draw.

Re: 5max vs. 6max

You're going to get in a few more 3-handed and 4-handed situations preflop, I think the average at 5-max is like 4.3 players on ongame, and a higher proportion of pots will be in blind...

Re: Donīt care much for donk bets

Standard raise for me here. This is usually a hand that just improved to kings up or some sort of weak Ace that was playing WA/WB who decided to donk the river.

Re: Winning in Tough Hold \'em Games

There are plenty of games with one fish which are otherwise tough, if you can't handle the game when the fish folds it will often wipe out any edge you have because of the fish.

Re: runner runner fullhouse

Preflop is bad, especially since pokerstars is 1-3 structure iirc. Would be an easy call from the big blind. As played I would probably bet/3-bet the turn.

Re: 1/2 Blind vs Blind possible spew?

The only hands he can have which made straights are Td9d/4d5d/5d9d, some guys might peel with like Td9c against a small blind open though, he could also have a passively played KsXs spade type hand....

Re: Wait, so, how do you play SB vs BB?

I'll often wait for the turn to raise here, your opponent will barrel his entire range on a board like this. As played I value bet the river.
