I dont see a issue 3 betting preflop, pokerboy button range is wide on the button.

It's not just a range vs. range situation is what I've been explaining.

Re: $100 NL: Checking the turn for pot control

[ QUOTE ]
Yeah, you might be right. I raised the flop because I thought I was ahead, but after he called I wasn't so sure.

Right you might not be - raising on this dry board just...

Re: $100 NL: extracting with a flush

hmm not an easy question. Basically you could make a chart of raise amount vs. amount won, using % you think you'll get called * raise amount to calculate amount won.
Anyways I would usually push...

Re: NL100 bind defense vs 1p0kerboy. Am I weak-tight?

It seems more likely that he would bet with 99 than to call with it.

[/ QUOTE ]

If you were in pokerboy's shoes would you bet with 99 here? I would be happy to check in down - get a...

Re: NL100 - AQ, misplayed? and in a sticky situation...

I like Renton's line... call on river seems marginal though. c/c river is best one of reasons being because we can induce bluff from him.

Re: 20NL : AA cracked, is my play correct ?

Lead out on flop. Other than that it's fine... your money was in with the best of it.

Re: NL 100: Easy call versus 1P0kerboy.....but wait a sec, it might not be

I think this is a call. Does he normally open raise with 33? You said he is tight open raiser so I lean toward "no." Therefore I am only really worried about QQ, AQ, and the unlikely AA. This looks...

effang, what do you do on turn -
-not a scare card, villain bets
-scare card, villain bets (probably fold)
-any of the above and villain checks

Re: Quick $100 NL Questions

Hey resboard, I've been playing 100NL on Bodog for 8 months or so and I would thing your strategy is a winning one. I doubt that it is the best one (most +EV) but while you work on your game I think...

Funding/withdrawing from Bodog

Hey guys, this probably isn't the right forum for this but I tried searching the site and couldn't find anything about it...

Are there any accounts like Neteller that you can use to fund/withdraw...

Re: Am I Pot Committed?

[ QUOTE ]
That said, given your description of villain, I would call getting 2:1 odds -- you're likely ahead of TT, top pair, FD, straight draw, combo draws at least 33% of the time.

If he calls...

Re: NL25 Value raise on river with idiot\'s end?

I would raise smallish to somewhere between $3.20 and $4. I think villain will feel pot committed and call you with sets, various 2 pair hands, and maybe even medium pps. The only hand that beats you...

Re: NL10 - nut flush on a paired board

Re: NL 50 AK Fold Pre

Hey dyna,
I agree with you that minraises like this PF are AA,KK alot at this level. But would villain do this with QQ,JJ or less?
If you honestly put villain on a range of AA/KK then yeah fold....

Re: (10NL) AK flops 2nd nut flush draw, family pot

I don't think you can c-bet here against 4 opponents, because it will be very hard to take down the pot and you don't really want to make this a big pot.

Just wondering...

do you have any reads on villain? I would tend to raise 3x his bet on this drawy board against an unknown. Folding isn't terrible though IMO.

Reads would really help though -
does villain bet...
