Re: Small pot, good draw

WIth the bet from sb you have 4:1 and pot odds and an easy call. By raising you may lose utg and you just bought yourself a card. If utg and SB call you are getting 2:7 which is good implied odds. I...

Re: QJo - unraised - TPMK

With as many callers to the turn and co all of a sudden be CO betting in front of you, he most likely slow played trips. His 3-bet would set off alarms for me. I would fold with only two outs here.

Re: Small pot, good draw

If memory servers correctly, ssh recommends to pump up the pot with a flush draw on the flop.

Re: KTs - EP

Strictly speaking yes. But if the table is loose and passive, especially with a lot of limpers, this hand has +EV.

Re: KTs - EP

with the flush draw on the board you only have 8 outs. I dont like the bet in early position, especially with such a small pot. Not a good value bet. As played, I would call the raise with pot odds...

Re: A8s

The way I see it you can play this hand two ways in this position.

1. On a loose passive table. You limp. Once you flop nut flush draw, bet to pump up the pot on the flop and then call the turn...

Re: A8s

I count 13 in the pot to make your call. And with his preflop and flop play you are very likely dominated. I fold here without pot odds.

Re: A8s

CO most likely has ak or aq. YOu have 3 clean outs putting your odds at 15:1. You have a pot of u 13 small bets. This is a fold.

Re: AKo TPTK against river raise

I only see him having a3 suited. I dont see how villian could not bet or c/r on the turn with a full house or quads. So Im leaning towards a3 suited or there might be an off chance of kqs (maybe)....

Re: what do you think

In limit holdem its hard to isolate players when you have one of the top 10 hands. YOu wIll get a lot of limpers and cold calls especially at the micro level. And the pots created by this environment...

Re: AA in trouble?

Im correcting myself. I confused BB with MP1. His tight play with a raise on the turn is an easy fold.

Re: confidence

I slumped another 50 bb week after this. And then ground my way out of a 150 bb hole over 10,000 hands. Reading and participating in this forum has helped fine tune my game.

Just wanted to say...

Re: .5/1 having midpair on a flushdraw board

Well if you call the turn then you should call the river as well.

Re: .5/1 having midpair on a flushdraw board

I agree he is either betting with top pair or a flush draw. Either way you are most likely behind on the turn either drawing dead or with 6 outs. It should be an easy fold on the turn.

Re: I dont know what to do on the flop!!

I would limp with suited connectors and small pocket pair. The smallest non-suited connectors the bible recommends in this position is j10.

Re: KQ - top pair - then 2 pairs

I would say with SB's play he has trip 10's. Im leaning towards folding.

Re: KQo on button...

Preflop was an immediate raise and so is the flop. Most likely you would have lost SB and isolated your profitable friend. As played. the turn you have pot odds 5:1 to make second nut flush. Easy...
