Optimal strategy for addons?

Does anyone know the "optimal' strategy for add-ons?
Of course it depends on many factors (rebuys, current state of the tournament, etc) but are there general guidelines?

I know you are supposed...

Re: Moved up to $5 FT SNGs on Stars - How should I play?

[ QUOTE ]

I wouldn't try to bluff very much at all other than cbets HU or to a lesser extent, 3 handed.

Thats what I thought.
The players here call with anything.

Thanks for...

Moved up to $5 FT SNGs on Stars - How should I play?

I recently moved up from micro ($1, $3) to $5 FT SNGs. I think I played around 250 tournaments in micro stakes with 22% ROI. Yes! It was very boring but I wanted enough experience especially with...

Re: Bubble decision

SngWiz says Push 88+ and AJ+.
Push/Fold diff for AJ is 0.28 which is not huge edge but not marginal either.

I think I will raise to exact amount amount of short stack and see what SB, BB do.

Re: PAHUD stats to display for SNGs

Probably less useful for SNGs but following thread has very good answers by Pokey.
I would use VPIP, PFR for SNGs.

Re: STT - How will ROI change if I increase my ICM edge?

I agree this is true but only in an imperfect world where you and your opponents are "trading mistakes". You might push all in with slight edge (push-fold diff) (which is a small mistake) but your...

I think this is +EV regardless of their range.

You are right - I tried changing their ranges - tighter and looser. No matter what - SngWiz said Push.

Re: $5+0.50 AT push sanity check

Depends on range of SB,BB.
But if they are average players who play top 10-20% this is standard.

SngWiz Confirms it.
Push vs Fold Diff is 0.61 which is big.
It modeled opponents as call 12+,...

STT - How will ROI change if I increase my ICM edge?

I apologize if some one has already done all this analysis and there is already plenty material available.
I had posted this in STT but I thought it is more appropriate here.

Re: Call with ATo on bubble?

Tough decision.
If his range includes Ax then it is a call.
I would fold and wait for a better spot especially on the bubble.

Re: 3.25 Bubble Play

Best case:
Hands you can way ahead are Ax, Jx.

Coin flips or close:
Pocket pair are slight favorite
You are only slight favorite to KQ.

Hands you are behind:
AQ AK
QQ, KK, AA although it...

Flush over Flush on the flop - Can I get away?

I am a new user and this is my first post.
I apologize if I did not follow the guidelines exactly.

Did I make the right call?
Is it the right decision according to ICM?
