Re: Argosy Casino, Lawrenceburg, In Screwed out of my seat, O/8

Paper list or electronic? I got dropped off of a paper waitlist once when the new floor/brush transferred the last shift's list to a new page since one of the game columns was full. When the game...

Re: Tunica, MS or New Orleans, LA

[ QUOTE ]
Which place doesn't have much $5-10nl?

Do you expect there to be a lot of $2-5 and $5-10nl games at Harrah's during Mardi Gras?

I've heard that there is great action...

Re: Soft Play (Collusion) in Tournaments

[ QUOTE ]
Preferential soft playing is collusion, not "maintaining the status quo." When you won't bet against your buddies, but you all play hard against the rest, you are cheating and should be...

Re: To speak or not to speak, that is the question

[ QUOTE ]
As for whether it was in player C's best interests... It really doesn't matter. There's also player B to be concerned with. Letting player A raise when he didn't actually have that...

Re: 17 way chop - was it a good decision

[ QUOTE ]
Meh. I'd want to keep playing, but it sucks being the only holdout to a chop. If you're comfortable with being singled out and having people gun for you, then keep playing - otherwise...

Re: Harrahs in New Orleans, strange rake method.

Search for time charge or time rake. There's a lot of posts about it. At 2/5 I don't think it's detrimental. You will never convince me that HNO didn't implement this policy because the 1/2 NL...

Re: Soft Play (Collusion) in Tournaments

[ QUOTE ]
For the tournament, we have recently had a group of 7 players consistently enter. These guys always soft play as a team. This last week was painful. 5 made it to the final 7. It was...

Re: I think rake by the hour sux

I agree with this. A $6/down charge is equal to 24 hands/hour full rake at the $5/hand typical around here. Even at $4/hand is only 30 full rake hands.

1/2 NL generates a lot of less than fully...

Re: Best 2/5 games in Vegas

You might want to consider the 1/3 $500 max games also. Caesar's and TI offer the 1/3. Maybe a few others. (Wynn?)

Re: Harrahs Rake Increase

[ QUOTE ]
I think Harrah's N.O. is $5 + $1 jackpot

[/ QUOTE ]

For limit that's correct. For NL it's $6/down + $1/hand JP. They may not take the JP at 5/10 and 10/25 NL.

I'm not sure $5+1...

Re: Terrible dealer tries to get the action kicked out.

If that was sarcasm, it is unfortunately lost on me. NO dealers may not be great, but they are a significant step up. This is a depressingly frequent topic of conversation in BR.

Re: 1-2 NL Rake

You need to move up to 2/5 to be even against the time charge. $12/hour against a 300 stack is brutal. 2/5 is a little tougher, but the structual advantages greatly overweigh the slight increase in...
