Re: Turning $3,500 into $250,000 in less than ~12 months
Quick update, I only managed ~20 hours for the first week. As of right now my roll is 6.8k. I've been playing a mix of full ring, 6 max, and HU. Doing about ~$220 per hour over this small sample...

Re: Turning $3,500 into $250,000 in less than ~12 months
I'm sitting in class right now looking at the tables on Poker Stars. It doesn't seem that there is a single full ring game of 10/20 going. Tons of 6 max, and plenty of 25/50 full ring games, but not...

Re: Turning $3,500 into $250,000 in less than ~12 months
Looks like everyone wants me to post at least weekly graphs, so I'll do my best to get a screen shot of the weekly progress.
It's going to be hell trying to get 35-40 hours in every week and not...

Re: Turning $3,500 into $250,000 in less than ~12 months
Hmm, so you think at the current state of online poker it's impossible to pull 7 PTBB/ 100 even at 200nl for an extended sample size? Surely this can't be the case.
Either way, I'm not going to...

Re: Turning $3,500 into $250,000 in less than ~12 months
The dollars per hour is more theoretical than anything else, if it wasn't, I'd be giving myself 3-4 months to do this instead of 12. The dollars per hour is just 5 PTBB per hour, hence the win rate...

Re: Turning $3,500 into $250,000 in less than ~12 months
Selecting for fast tables, I can almost always get ~320-350 per hour on Stars. I also beat 200nl for more than 5 PTBB per hour, it's 600nl+ which will be the problem.

Turning $3,500 into $250,000 in less than ~12 months
Recently I shattered my Poker Stars bankroll of ~17k by
tilting/playing under rolled/running horribly etc
90% of losses came over 2 days playing 600nl heads up
I ended with ~$5k, cashed out...

Re: 400nl (KK on button facing 4 bet)
I think shoving is probably +EV, but I think calling is better because we get value from hands like QQ/JJ on low flops, along with potential c/ bet shoves from AK/AQ.
Also if villain is on...

Re: 400nl (KK on button facing 4 bet)

I'm 3 betting on the button, I can easily have s/c AK AQ AJ AT etc etc. He can easily 4 bet AK AA KK QQ and even JJ, along with...

well I check for pot control, and to get worse hands to bet. I dunno, maybe bet flop/ check turn. I don't want to get all-in with the hand.

Can't seem to find any good posts about when to continuation bet and when to check. This is obviously very situationally dependent but I'll give a few scenarios.

Re: 50NL KK OOP (Again) Need Turn Help
Board is pretty dry, 9T being the only realistic draw out there. Does villain raise with sets or slow play?
TT JJ QQ are all possible too so bet ~$20 and shove the river.

Re: NL 100; Big Blind with Trips Against 3-Bet
Call and re-evaluate turn. Shoving is -EV because you don't beat anything that calls, errr maybe flush draw.

Re: nl 100 (QQ hit top set --- IM A LUCKY DONKEY)
That was basically my line of thinking, but when you're sitting there with top set and the only hand beating you is exactly AK....and even then you have outs.
MAYBE he's going nuts with AA KK JJ...
