If the flop comes AAK, he is not getting proper odds to call and we miss out on that 4k. His fold would not be a mistake, making not putting him in PF a mistake.

They may fold an unfavorable flop (rarely, but sometimes)
Since we are NEVER folding, and they fold ONLY on an unfavorable flop SNG is a worse play...

If he raises 3/4 of his stack PF, he's not going to fold to a raise, no matter when it happens. This is NOT a stop and go situation. You might as well push PF.
