Re: Stop and Go with AK

What are we hypothesizing about? 99.9999999999% of the time villain has already decided to call/push on the flop anyway, so saying the SNG (or a push) is a better move is arguing that one is...

Re: Stop and Go with AK

If the flop comes AAK, he is not getting proper odds to call and we miss out on that 4k. His fold would not be a mistake, making not putting him in PF a mistake.

I know I said I wasn't going to post anymore, but seke, I think we're going to have to let this go as no one is understanding the math/reasoning behind what we are saying (I already proved a simple...

My understanding of the stop and go is that it should be used any time that

1) you are too strong to fold
2) your only play is to commit all your chips
3) you're out of position
4)...

Re: Stop and Go with AK

Say they dofold:

If you have the best hand it's bad
If you have the worst hand it's good.
But how often are you going to have the worst hand
Against a PP (QQ-) about 50% of the time
Against...

If villain wants to raise 3/4 of his stack and then fold on the flop, I see no problem in letting him do so. Winning 3/4 of his stack plus blinds and antes without having to show down is...

Betgo, I tried some numbers. Assuming Villain only ever folds stuff like low pocket pairs on a really bad flop (where Hero flops top pair), he's not making a mistake to fold. He'd be...

Re: Stop and Go with AK

What hands is he folding that he doesn't think he's beat. Maybe w/ 2 of T-Q, but I don't think so. I think he's only folding hands that he truely believes are crushing him (even a sole broadway...

Re: Stop and Go with AK

Point is:

We are never folding once we call
They may fold an unfavorable flop (rarely, but sometimes)

Since we are NEVER folding, and they fold ONLY on an unfavorable flop SNG is a worse play...

Re: Stop and Go with AK

If he raises 3/4 of his stack PF, he's not going to fold to a raise, no matter when it happens. This is NOT a stop and go situation. You might as well push PF.
