Re: Bellagio, Venetian, or Wynn

I've stayed at Bellagio and Venetian, not Wynn yet. I love the location of Venetian. You have Mirage and TI right across the street, and Wynn can be a not too long walk or quick taxi cab. Then...

Re: Imperial Palace vs. Venetian

If you're semi-broke college kids, then act like it! Stay at IP. It's a better "party" hotel than the Venetian, and if you're not going to be spending much time in the room, then why spend the extra...

The waitresses in the Venetian poker room have enormous, gigantic cans!

Buy-in for just $100 (or less if allowed) and play small-stack poker.

Re: Best Way to Utilize SSHE

IMO, SSHE is required reading for anyone taking up Limit Hold'em. That's not to say it is the only Limit book you should read, but it should be your first. You should also read Sklansky's Limit for...

Bodog Hand Histories

Does anyone know how to download Bodog Hand histories to your computer? PokerTracker software has an option for auto-importing Bodog hand histories, but I don't see how to download the Bodog hand...

I wear socks with sandles, otherwise they chaffe my toes and feet.

I believe it will be out in Season 4. But don't quote me on that.

Re: SSHE better for middle limits ?

I'll chime in with my two cents here:
I would read the following, pretty much in this order, although 2 & 3 could go either way:
1) SSHE (Mandatory reading)
2) Limit hold'em for Advanced players...

To Show or Not to Show

I was just wondering what the general consensus is for showing your cards in Limit hold'em when you have a monster and some donkey sucks out on the river and/or plays cards he shouldn't and flops...

Almost embarrassed to ask this PotLimit question

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I was recently watching a PL WSOP event on ESPN (a NL event I think), the blinds were $15k/$30k. In one hand the pot was $265,000, and someone raised $300k to...

Re: My Experience in the Normandie Bathroom

I thought you said you were at a urinal. Wouldn't that be his lucky urinal, not stall?

Re: Vegas $2-4 Limit

Don't mean to hijack isuxs' post, but Arbitrage, is the Bellagio 15-30 really that easy? I've played 2-4 and 4-8 before there with some success, but have been studying extremly hard for months now...

Re: First Vegas Trip - Advice Please

for soft 1/3 NL, go to TI (Treasure Island). Very, very bad players last time I was there. The poker room is small, but I think it is very comfortable (nice bright, cheery colors).

Re: SSHE - Relevence for Small Stakes No Limit?

Sorry if I wasn't clearer in my original reply. SSHE is for advanced players, for high stakes limit games (these games are super aggressive with loads of bluffing). It is not intended for these 2/4...

Re: SSHE - Relevence for Small Stakes No Limit?

For Small Stakes Limit, you need 2+2's "Small Stakes Hold'em" and "Hold'em Poker for Advanced Player", with the former being your "Bible".

I play exclusively 2/4 and 1/2 LHE on-line. Those two...

Vegas at XMAS/New Years

Hi all,

Wife and I won't have any family around at Christmas and are thinking about going to Vegas, either around X-mas, or maybe for New Years. What is Vegas like at that time of year? I've...

Re: PLO 8 in Vegas?

I was at the venetian back in May, and they spread a 2/5 mixed NLHE and PLO game by request. Normally, from my limited experiences in Vegas, you'll only find a PLO game if a bunch of people request a...

Excellent post. I couldn't agree more. And when he lost that hand to the Russian, he paid the Russion with his own chips!

Re: Anyone have a good experience meeting a pro at the WSOP?

Not at WSOP, but leaving the Bellagio poker room late one night last year, the Grinder and his posse were standing outside. I looked at him and said "The Grinder". And he said "Hey bud". A night I'm...

Re: Final table fish?

I don't know why everyone has such a problem with Yang. Doesn't a fish simply limp, check, and overcall? Yang was dominating the table and getting it in with the best hand. Just because he called...

Re: Professional No Limit Holdem Vol 1, Reviews

So what exactly does this mean about the Sklansky and Miller "No limit Hold'em Theory" book 2+2 published last year? Why was there a need for this new book? Did I waste my money on their book last...
