Re: Two spots same hand same villain within 5min

hand one is an ugly spot. I really don't like your raise PF. You don't price anyone out of the hand, and you don't define any hands at all. The only thing you did was build a pot that you are going...

Re: The JESUS Draw... All-in

I don't like the pf play... either raise or fold IMO. As played, if effective stack is $500 (which is how it was written unless I missed somthing) then I like every street. If effective stack is $700...

Re: 2\\5 Live game AA facing min-raise

The one thing that I am wondering about is your table image. Have you 3-bet out of the blinds recently? Have you 3-bet anything recently?

Most games this size for most players your line is...

Re: Good Fold or playing too tight?

I just got back into playing SNG's online, (stopped when Party went away) but since I started with the 5.50's on UB, I have found that the "bet pot" button is pretty much an all purpose friend for PF...

Re: Visiting Biloxi, need help...

I'll tell you from playing at the old Grand in Gulfport, you don't want to screw around with any tourney that has bounteys and rebuys. Nothing sucks like knocking someone out of a tourney and waiting...

Re: $1/$2 $500 Spread at Tulalip in Seattle area.

Biggest Limit game is 4/8. I have never seen anything bigger get spread, but higher games are listed on the board.

NL games are technically spread games with $500 max bet.

$1-2 has $50-100...

Re: $1/$2 $500 Spread at Tulalip in Seattle area.

They have 3-5 going almost 24/7... generally shuts down for a few hrs very early mornings during the week.

5-10 goes from Thursday afternoon through very early monday morning. Sometimes starts up...

Re: Good Fold or playing too tight?

FWIW, I would have done exactly what you did... only possible difference is a slightly smaller raise, but likely would have tried to make it as pricey as you did.

BTW, WTH did they have there? KQ...

Re: Refresh my memory on simple decision, $2/$5 NL live

Either 4 bet him AI, or fold. I lean toward pushing since you are ahead of a decent portion of his range (I would put him 77+, AJ+) and it is good for your table image.

Re: stupid spot with QQ

Thanks for the info. I know online plays differently than live, but I couldn't imagine seeing that play (call two raises from SB then push any J) in a live game more than once a month. Maybe AJ, but...

Re: stupid spot with QQ

I usually play live, so take this with a grain of salt, but... tricky spot, with no history I make a crying fold. I just can't think of anything you are ahead of here except for AK or AJ from a...

Re: 5/10 Live, Flop top pair out of bb

[ QUOTE ]
With all due respect, you clearly didn't properly read the OP. . . the *max buyin* is 100, so everybody bought in for that amount.

[/ QUOTE ]

Gotcha boss, and I did read it right...

Re: 5/10 Live, Flop top pair out of bb

Depends a little bit on your goal here, but almost always c/f here. Any decent size bet commits you. What calls that you are ahead of? A starge combo-draw?

Somehow I imageine you sat at a table...

Re: MGM Grand 2-5: Tilting Extreme Short Stack Straddles My Big Blind

Fold or make it $75 to go, dependent on what you have seen from the Button and SB in the past. It is even very likely that the Button and SB don't even know what is going on with the straddle.

You...

Re: Live 5/5NL Turn Set Bad Board

How much does the SB have? How much does the BB have? How many players to act after you? Do you have any reads on how these players to this point? Why would you not push here?

Re: river bet size 5/10

Not sure about the river, but why no bet on the turn? Facing a C/C on the flop, and that turn couldn't have helped him. Curious to know why you didn't, but I'd bet $300-$350 at the turn.

Re: Live 5/10 deep -- call or shove

I agree, bump it about $1000-1200 more. I might even suggest $1500 more since you have the LAG pushing the action with such small bets.

Either way, don't let another card peel off cheap, make...

Re: $2/$4 FT 6-max - AAA super-deep!

[ QUOTE ]
how bad is getting it in on the flop vs this guy?

[/ QUOTE ]

I'd say pretty bad. The vilain will have KQ or some huge combo draw often enough that throwing $1500 after a $150 pot...

Re: Middle Set - Standard?

[ QUOTE ]
As stated above, you aren't playing ideally if your strategy involves no limping with hands such as 88.

3 bets, if made, might fall around, or just above, the $60-$75 range. Please...

Re: Middle Set - Standard?

I like your play here, only suggestion is to open for a raise. But it is a personal pref, and I probably open limp once every 10-20 hrs of play. In general I hate an EP open-limp.

After 2 rounds...

How many bullets do you have with you?

I will give a voice for thinking about laying it down. I haven't done the math to get you good numbers on it though.

I think either you have about 6 outs...

Re: Donk or Standard? Really tough spot for me.

I don't know what most stacks at the table are at this point, but opening in early possition for that much with a KJ is, lets say aggressive... You are throwing nearly 10% of your stack out with...

Re: I have a boat, but...

I call here every time. I would say at most the vilain has a Q. If the vilain has quads why would be bet $12 on the turn into that pot, and then try to bet you off of a hand instead of inducing a...

Re: 5/10 NL Live; Tough turn call?

Fold.

Do you often bump up your opening raise with hands like JJ or was this a factor of the limpers ahead of you?

Important to think about, because your line screams over-pair, and the...
