Re: PS $16: TT in Blinds early

I think I'd raise with this in the SB to get rid of the limpers. Lots of FE here, I think.

Re: $16 2nd best straight, how is my line?

This looks good to me. I don't mind calling with AT in the blind with so many callers ahead. Makes it worth the price, I think.

As for the flop play: outside straight draw, plus an overcard. ...

Yes, because masturbation is a great way to get out and meet new people.

Not to mention you could get addicted to masturbation.

Re: tight early strategy pitfalls

[ QUOTE ]
HU with big blinds = pushbotting, IMO, everything else is more or less wrong. It's not the time to get fancy or "play poker." You can steal half of people's stacks before they realize...

Re: (16) AK from the SB line check

dude rick, hero is not utg+1 with AK. He is calling the raise by utg+1 with AK. And i know i haven't posted on this hand so it is kind of random for me to be correcting you, but i have...

Re: tight early strategy pitfalls

The leak in my game I'm working on is Heads-Up at the end. I think I play pretty well early and middle. But at the end, its moving so fast, that I have a hard time not falling into pushbotting.

mightyrick your advice makes no sense? Anyway, I do the same as OP.

Re: (16) AK from the SB line check

Depending on the personality of the table, I'd either raise PF to t200 or I'd limp with the hope of an opportunity to re-raise.

If I didn't have a read on the table, I'd raise PF to t200. But man...

Yeah I mean really, JJ - heads-up with 12xBB I'm delighted to push this in PF. What are ya afraid of?! You crush his range!

Re: (38) Results Good -- Play Bad.

Mike, given some of the responses here, did you have a read on this guy?... instinctively. While the checking seems bad from a pure/no-read perspective, if you have a read... it really could be the...

Re: (38) Results Good -- Play Bad.

Nice hand. You got someone to call you all the way down. I find no fault with the optimal outcome.

It sounds like you were playing from the gut and your gut was telling you to call this guy down...

Re: ($210 Turbo) M=5 67s on button, 5 runners - push?

I don't think its a "grave mistake". That's a serious overstatement. Not pushing KQs is a "grave mistake". 5-handed, 67s is a borderline hand at best with almost 8BB remaining, and sitting on the...

Re: (315 Turbo) Left in bad spot after raising K10s and being reraised

Re: (38) AA on the bubble

I like it. I bet t500 on the turn. Then I bet t600 on the river. The only thing I see is that he may have flopped a set. If so, then good hand to him.
