Re: guss what we have, donkey

Check back overpair for fear of 2pr. If you have a set, you played the turn poorly. He called the flop with something and he's a calling station...get it all in there. As played, I guess you have...

Re: Borgata 1/2 hand

[ QUOTE ]
what are you trying to accomplish w/ that flop raise?

[/ QUOTE ]

LOL...ummmm, win money with the best hand, or something. Take down pot now while TPTK is still good. Feel...

Re: Borgata 1/2 hand

[ QUOTE ]
kinda missed that he overbet preflop.
What if the preflop raise was $8 and a caller. still better to call?

[/ QUOTE ]

Depends on reads, but a pot-sized open raise from a tight,...

Re: Borgata 1/2 hand

I don't agree that calling is better than 3betting preflop. You want to 3bet to know if your hand is good or not, you could easily be up against AA or KK here. If we are 4bet preflop we...

Re: Borgata 1/2 hand

Don't beat yourself up too much. Making the occasional bad fold is an important part of playing good poker. It means you are capable of making folds at all, which clearly is essential to long-term...

I hold AQo in late position. About $300 in stack.

Preflop player A (tight passive) raises to $15. Player B calls (seems tight, one other hand I saw shown down was KK). I call.

Flop:...

Re: OT: $2K PLH WSOP sweat thread

'Sup Slacka?

I more-or-less instamucked KK here. My good opponent gets his stack in the middle here in level #1 without AA exactly 0% of the time. Donkey had picked up KK, so he (and I) were...

Re: OT: $2K PLH WSOP sweat thread

Thanks for the sweat, all, and Irie for the complement (although I'm quite sure you know many others that play PLHE better than I do). Got deep, but was fairly short. But I was able to reraise an...

Re: 1-2NL, Brick & Morter, What should I do?

Sounds like you've got a pretty decent read on the villian, and your experience is that he's been known to overplay a few of his hands. 68 is the only hand you're in huge trouble against. You are...

Re: Flop bottom full - Did I play this too hard?

[ QUOTE ]
I like the 3-bet, but would make it 360 or so. You are deep enough so its a risk you dont get much from him if a /images/graemlins/diamond.gif comes on the turn and he have a king. And I...

Re: How often bad run?

[ QUOTE ]
8 OOTM isn't much. As a comparison, I had a 9 ITM streak streak earlier this month. I don't know what my biggest OOTM has been over the last few months...probably about 13 oe 14.

If you...

Re: (33s) AK Early

[ QUOTE ]
Hand 1: I play it exactly the same. As tigrite would say, "You have position, use it." No need to reraise PF, if you hit, you get paid off. Call the turn every time. Fold the river...
