Re: How long do I withhold tips? Dealer mistake costs me $1800. (long)

It doesn't really matter, but I want a clarification:

Did the card that was exposed cause the player to make a different decision losing you the pot, or was it a suck out card that would have made...

25NL TT, one over - seems standard, but I haven\'t learned it yet

I've been at the table about 10 hands. No read.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) Poker Stars (http://www.flopturnriver.com/reviews/Online-Poker-PokerStars.php#converter) Converter...

1/2 Live - Straddled pot - tough turn and river decisions

This is a 100max game. The straddler in this hand is your typical lag regular - straddles, pushy, but calls too much and has wild swings.

Approx. Stacks
SB ($500)
BB ($75)
UTG ($150)
UTG+1...

Re: I\'ll show you.....

Totally player dependent. I've had a crazy lag guy I've never played with before say "I'll show you, I have a huge hand", then show me Aces Up. No idea why. I've had others say I'll show you then...

Re: Am I maximizing value from flopped sets! NL50, Full Tilt

[ QUOTE ]
If your opponents are paying attention, it's important that you play big draws exactly the same as sets.

[/ QUOTE ]

When you say big draws, do you mean combo draws or flush draws?

Re: Use of the word Metagame in poker context

Metagame in a poker context means how do you play your hand because of or to affect play in other hands, as opposed to what is the best play for this one situation. So you are thinking things like...

Re: I propose a new poker rule

I tend to have the opposite problem. When I have cards, I always hold them in my left hand with my index finger kind of on the back so that a good portion of the cards are sticking out in plain...

NL10 JJ against complete fish - standard?

I don't know if you can call this standard, but...
In this hand, MP is a tag who I'm basically ignoring and CO is either on super tilt or one of the worst players I've ever seen. His stack is...

Re: NL10 TPTK OOP raised on flop - I\'m totally lost here

Sounds like there isn't a consensus here.

What 3bet size do you all recommend on the flop? If we put in $4 on the flop, do we just shove the turn?

NL10 TPTK OOP raised on flop - I\'m totally lost here

Alright, this is totally horrible. I have no reads on this guy because he just sat down. The table was basically tight with a weak spot or two. Most pots are folded on the flop. I'll give you the...

Re: DN\'s Power Hold\'em

Maybe Daniel himself isn't a reliable source, but I've slowly been working my way through the WCOOP commentaries and he was asked this question. His response (paraphrased):

I have one more small...

Yeah, I know. I'm not very good anymore so it probably took me 5-6 hours to get there instead of 4. Thanks for the magic wand tip.

Re: KK 3-bet preflop, flopping overpair vs TAGgy player 210 BB deep

When I 3bet preflop, I don't fool around on the flop, especially out of position.

The pot is 13.50, right? You have an SPR of 7.3 [ (104.70-6.50)/13.50 ], I bet the pot or almost the pot....

Re: wtf spazz, I have AJ-high

These tells sound exactly like they came out of Caro's book, except for the shaky hands, but I've had that one reversed on me too.

I think you played it ok.

Re: Trips feel like A high in NL

At these stakes, this is an easy call. Any pocket pair will play this way. - Unless you have a read that this is a good player. I almost always have a read that they are a bad player.

I cannot...

Re: UltimateBet:: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

This doesn't exactly answer the OP's question, but UB is the only site where I actually noticed playing against a bot. I was playing some micro stakes like 5cent/10cent limit and I played against a...

Re: ranking of sites in softness?

I find that at the micro stakes NL, the stupid bet pot button on UB actually makes the game way worse. People are lazy and bet pot on the river when bluffing. When on stars, they bet 5 cents.

Re: About Ed Miller\'s smallstakes hold\'em book

It always was better suited for live play. In fact, I'm pretty sure that is what game Ed was playing when he wrote the book.
