Re: 2/4 AK whiffs

22 isn't in his range because he isn't getting odds to setmine, especially if MP2 is setmining also and won't stack off unless he hits a bigger set.

I agree that TT is the same as 22 when pattay...

Re: 2/4 AK whiffs

[ QUOTE ]
if he can hand read at all he should snap call you here with 22.

[/ QUOTE ]
Are you kidding? There's no way he'd call with 22. 22 isn't even in his range why would he call a reraise...

Re: 2/4 AK whiffs

Would you take this line with AA? A river shove looks suspicious after your pot-control flop check and turn call.

Re: QQ on draw flop

I would definitely bet the turn and (without a read) fold if he checkraises. Call a chraise if he's a frequent. bluffer. At $0.05/$0.10 players in general are loose/passive and are going to call you...

Re: big n00b question - pt 200nl

The numbers x/y/z are statistics that represent your preflop style.

x = voluntarily put money in the pot aka VPIP (excludes when you post SB and BB)
y = preflop raise (PFR)
z = overall...

Re: 200 nl: Am I crazy?

[ QUOTE ]
Now do you see why you need to 3bet a wider range yourself?

[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, I definitely need to 3bet a wider range if UTG is raising any pair. I think I'm just overly paranoid about...

Re: 200 nl: Am I crazy?

[ QUOTE ]
how is your 3betting range QQ+ and AK if you routinely fold AK facing a preflop raise?

[/ QUOTE ]
You're right, it's just QQ, KK, and AA.
[ QUOTE ]
don't you realize how impossible...

Re: [100nl] KQ on button, flop Q hi and unknown starts firing...

When the CO has 30BB you can still raise to $5 preflop and cbet the flop without pricing yourself in with missed overcards. If you hit the flop you stand a great chance of getting the CO's remaining...

Re: NL 100 I really, really, really want to call this.

You're quick on the draw! I agree it's important to raise a wide range in the blinds and raising AQ is better than limping IF you have some reads on the limpers. When I just sat down at the table I'd...

Re: NL 100 I really, really, really want to call this.

Without a read on the limpers I'd check preflop. As played check/fold the turn, although I'm pretty puzzled by his overbet too. Why would he bet so much with 55/44? KQ he'd probably raise preflop. I...

Re: nl 200 AA reraised on river

Here the villain only bet 1/2 pot on turn so obviously we're not folding, but what do we do if we call the flop, the turn is a spade and he bets pot?

Re: nl 200 AA reraised on river

Gotcha. I was under the assumption that top pair was a big part of his range and raising would get value from AQ/KQ. But I see how calling and betting/raising a blank turn is a much better line when...

Re: NL50: 2pair in BB. Villain minbets flop and donks turn? What to do?

It's a tough turn spot without any reads. It's an unraised pot so we have no idea what he has, he could have anything from a set, 76, AQ/KQ/QJ, etc, I doubt he pots the turn with a flush draw. With...

Re: Set of 5s - too aggressive ? (PL25)

I wouldn't raise 55 in the big blind, just check when you have the option to see a free flop

Re: nl 200 AA reraised on river

Renton, can you clarify why this is not an autoraise flop when a 44/20 villain leads for 1/2 pot? Is it because of the stack sizes? If the stacks were 100BB effective would it then be an autoraise?

Re: Playing 65s aggressively

I think there's an argument for 2nd barreling because it'd make him fold 77-55, A8, and a lot of other crap, but getting checkraised by a set would suck really bad. Still, I like 2nd barreling better...

Re: NL400 Reverse float turns into weird spot on river

Yeah, what's wrong with that? For the record, since everyone thought I was serious: I was being sarcastic about folding preflop

Re: NL400 Reverse float turns into weird spot on river

Fold preflop to avoid this mess? It seems Iglooking would have 3bet AK/AQ/AJ, AT is probably in his range along with maybe Axs. He'd probably bet the turn if he had KQ. If you check I don't think...

Raising is pretty much repping what OP has 60% of the time and a set 40% of the time.

for this move to work, you must have a nitty image.

schem has a nine (probably 99, pot controlling on the Txx flop), he hit his straight on the turn and is value betting small on the river because your hand seems really weak...

Re: Which hand would you rather have? 86s, AJo, KQo

I should add that it can be easy to over-value top pair in NL. With full stacks against good opponents you will be giving them big reverse implied odds and setminers will destroy you if you don't...
