Re: How I will pnw PLO8 (newb post) + a couple of questions

Actually, your English was quite good.

Ok, on to the poker.

Some things that will help.

We've had a lot of discussions on whether or not to raise preflop and with which hands....so you are...

Re: BUSTED BIG NAMES / Superstars thread.

Evidently they told him he was playing on Day 1C, but he actually was scheduled for 1B. He heard about it, showed them his ticket saying it should have been 1C, so they let him play on 1D to make it...

Re: PLO8 sng\'s -- ok, they ARE crapshoots (LC)

I've only had maybe 2 or 3 tables (out of about 100) that still had that many players at level 4. You're absolutley right though...it's very frustrating to have that many people play tight.

I'm...

Re: Main Event Schedule for the normal guy

Why would anyone from the casino want to shorten the event.

An extra 5,000 gamblers (some of which have very large bankrolls) in their casino for an extra 3 or 4 days is very profitable to them.

Re: Ever used a body fat analyzer? Opinions?

The Tanita scale is the one I use.

The trick is....do your weighing/body fat check at the same time every day. That way you have a consistant amount of hydration for the machine to deal with.

Re: PLO8 SNG bubble hand

At this stage of the SNG, he will often pick up 600 chips from the blinds with the 1400 chip bet. I don't mind that part at all.

Unfortunately, a flop comes that misses everything. Just...

Re: Looking for PLO8 Multi table Tournaments

I play the SNG's at Party.

I'm looking for bigger tournaments....maybe even at Full Tilt or Stars or other sites that I currently don't play on.

Looking for PLO8 Multi table Tournaments

Guys,

I play a lot of PLO8 SNG's these days. As Burd said in another thread, they are absolutely a hidden gold mine of hold 'em players being aggressive at the wrong times.

I know UB has a...

Re: PLO8 tourney - Did I screw this up?

I have some basic rules of thumb when it comes to Party PLO8 SNG's.

Play tight for the first couple rounds unless there is a good reason to get involved in a pot. Like Kurto said, 1 or 2...

Re: Please explain PUSH vs PULL

A good example of playing a hand poorly (pushing vs. pulling).

Last night in a tournament the flop gives me a nut flush DRAW and a nut low DRAW (playing pot limit).

I was UTG and lead out with...

Re: Where am I in this hand?

I am absolutely amazed that you guys are suggesting this is a good line for this hand.

Is this something we can go out of the tournament with? Sure. But the only hand that I can see that we lose...

Re: Stats for non-HE SNGs?

Burd,

I have been playing the Party PLO8 5+1, 10+1, and 20+2.

There have been a couple LO8 SNG's too, but mostly pot limit.

I have found that I am in the money roughly 50% of the time.

Re: PP $25 PL O/8 - should I go broke here (?)

This is just about the best flop and turn that you could hope for. I would happily get me money all in here every single time and let the chips fall where they may.

Re: Pre flop raising, the when, why and how

Guys,

This is a tough one. Probably the hardest question anyone ever asks on this forum. If I had the link to the other discussions we had on this (or it was stickied in a "really really good...

Re: Super basic with probably dumb questions... but I post it anyways.

Kurto,

I think I agree with batman on this one.

For me, this is the kind of hand that I will play without making the pot really big. I'll take my "small half pot" and only put larger bets in...

Re: ?????

Tex,

The reason you want to isolate here is because sometimes...frequently probably....the flop is going to miss both of you.

What range of hands do you put a UTG raiser on in a tight 15/30...

The Next Step

So....here we are sitting at a tight 15/30 table. There is a raise from UTG and a reraise from UTG + 1 (because he is trying to isolate against UTG).

What does my hand need to look like in order...

Henrikrh,

I hate to put words into Dcasper's mouth but here is what I believe he is saying...or at least how I would look at this hand.

As you said, we have a good hand...not great...but good. ...

Re: 2 Questions, 1 hand

AD,

I think you are making a big mistake by not potting this back preflop. This is a hand that is "OK" in a multiway pot but is very strong heads up.

Is there a chance you might still have to...

I'm trying to put some cards in the Button and UTG's hand that would make there play consistant with the flop.

Re: 10/20 Limit Omaha Hi/Lo Hand

Gnu,

I really like your reasoning.

I probably would have checked behind on that river as well....I'm not sure that's right. But I would have played it the same. I don't think I could check...

Tounament Aggression Heads Up

Guys,

I'm having trouble figuring out how much aggression to throw at an opponent once I get Heads Up at the end of a tournament.

I usually play PLO8, but today I played in a Limit Sit N Go and...

Re: le-laise, pot rimit, $25 to the winner, boys

My guess is there has to be trips involved here somewhere....like:

MP: 2223

Or something completly rediculous like that.
