Re: AKo on turn, w 1 donking in EP& 1 player all-in, and yes this is LHE

I think I may have missed an important concept here. Why are there only 3 outs as opposed to 6. 3 Aces 3 Kings?

Re: arrrgh, river flush but not sure if villian has better flush

[ QUOTE ]
I don't like 3 betting the flop OOP w/ the 4th nut FD and MP2 looking like a FD also

[/ QUOTE ]

O RLY? MP2 Cold calling 2 bets on the flop makes you think he has a bigger flush?...

Re: arrrgh, river flush but not sure if villian has better flush

The reason to re-raise this flop is because of equity. You are putting in 25% of the money with four people (1/4). You will hit your flush ~35% of the time. So for every bet that goes into the pot...

Re: Dun wanna miss a value bet on the river, with top T pair, mid kicker

I would check behind on the river here. I think we are getting check raised far more often here than we are getting called by a worse hand. Look at the villians actions on the earlier streets. He...

Re: 0.25-0.50....Top two pair on a flush-flop

I would not raise this turn. Reason being is I don't think you make enough money by charging the people with a single diamond to compensate for the likely chance (with so many callers) that someone...

Re: Value-raising on Turn and River

You should have raised the turn.

You should NOT raise the river, you were correct in going for overcalls.

This is covered in SSHE where it states you should forgo a raise if it will let your...

Re: How to play gut shot against a raise?

Kings = 2 outs (1 king make a four flush)
Queens = maybe 1 out (1 queen makes a four flush, the others make a straight for a jack, so they have to be discounted)
Jacks = 3 outs (1 jack makes a four...

Re: Too aggressive with top pr.?

I don't think this raise is for value considering your pair is very vulnerable against such a large field. This raise also does not work for protection, because the pot is fairly large, anyone with...

Re: AKo .5/1 Scary multiway board.

In SSHE Ed says in large pots where you are getting 11-1 or better do not fold for one bet even if your hand can only beat a bluff. This hand perfectly illustrates his point.

Yes but you only get 9000 pts which equals 90 dollars for AP. Is this what you were referring to?

Re: BB defense vs passive stealer

Yeah I think 16% of the time he has a hand worth playing on the button. I think his chances of actually stealing here are pretty low and I would give him some credit on the flop 3-bet.

Re: bet or induce bluff?

I think straight forward play like value betting will reward you at these limits. Inducing bluffs and check/raising, etc is not as +EV, your opponents are not that sophisticated.

Re: Cry call this river?

I really think your hand is too vulnerable to protect on the flop. Theres to many cards that can come on the turn to hurt your holding. I believe theres an example like this one where he says to...

Re: Ugh, TPTK AQ on scary card checkraise

As played I'd call his cap and c/c the river UI. He would have pocket 9s or more likely he hit two pair like 89s or such.

Re: 99 On the Button

I think this was well played. Your 3-bet PF scared CO into submission. You leading out on every street increses your chances of winning the pot immediately.

Re: 67s in CO

You need more callers for this implied hand to pay off. As played it seems your opponents are to passive to try a c/r for protection. Considering you saw the flop I think you did the best you could...

Re: Overpair in middle position..

It looks good to me, your flop raise is for protection. But not protection from the hearts flush draw, by raising it and having that many callers its just making someone with a flush draw more...

Re: AKo UTG+2

I would fold turn unimproved here, there is no reason to overcall especially since it costs you 1 BB. The river is a deffinate fold. You hold high card and at best are chopping with someone. The...

Re: Bet out on my made flush OOP?

Bet for value. The opponents at this level are very poor and will call your bet to see the showdown, especially after investing so much of it on the earlier streets. Having a player in late...
