Re: Limit 08....getting started?

[ QUOTE ]
Short handed Limit Omaha is the most under written game in Poker. Because of this, if you get good, it can be immensely profitable.

I agree with this 100%...

Re: please read if you are a supernova

As always, I'm following this annual discussion with some interest, but I thought I'd add an outsider's perspective.

Right now, I play on both Stars and FTP. I primarily play FTP because I have...

back in the day party poker gave 10% on accounts

It seems strange to say this now, but back in the day this was the only reason I played at Party.

Re: Please recommend me a good tax person that knows gambling law...

If California is more convenient, I'd recommend Russ Fox. If Las Vegas is better for you, I'd recommend Marissa Chien. Both are Enrolled Agents.

Re: planning to go to casino for the first time-morongo

Agua Caliente regularly spreads LHE at 3-6, 8-16, and 25-50, and I believe all games are with a kill. 6-12 Omaha/8 goes regularly. There is sometimes a 1-2 NL game with I believe a 200 or 300...

Re: absolutely insane 20/40 game

I'm not sure why you didn't 3-bet the flop. In a smaller pot I understand the smooth-call since you want to keep people in, but with the pot this large I don't think anyone with a reasonable hand is...

Re: 200/400 one of the biggest laydowns ive made at 8b

This is an interesting hand, and an interesting laydown. I dislike calling down, but I don't see how folding can be right here.

As you said, on third he should have any 2 under. When you bet...

Re: Final Table $200 Horse Tourney FTP -- Two hands posted

On the stud/8 hand, I would not try to steal here. You've got not only the Q but also a 7 and the bring-in that could call with a low hand. If you had only the Q or the 7 behind, I would probably...

Re: survey/thoughts of a hand quiz from \'winning in tough holdem games...\'

I check here. Either he's got a busted draw, which Q-hi beats, or he has a pair or Ax that he's not willing to let go. A draw seems most likely since probably any pair check-raises the flop.

Re: Why do I always hit a pair here

River seems like an easy raise to me. He's got Kx (AK, KQ, KT, even KJ) or was semibluffing JT and will pay off one more bet *way* more often than he has AA, KK, 99.

Re: SH O8 Limit hand

3-bet preflop and use your position to make the rest of the hand easier. This is a reasonably strong hand for 6-max.

If you 3-bet preflop I would bet the flop and see how raiser and caller react....
