FWIW, I was credited 200 FTPs the past 3 days (only been playing about 100/day) so there must be some sort of widespread problem that they know about.

Redeeming medals does not effect your MGR.
Any bonus cleared is subtracted from your MGR. Any FTP's redeemed effects your MGR. So redeeming your medals for FTP'[s or bonuses will effect your MGR...
