25 NL AA vs. turn reraise allin

Thoughts on this line? My concern is that with this turn bet i am building a big pot, but at the time i was thinking, i cant give him a free card with that board. is a c/f better after he calls my...

Re: NL 10 AK in MP1. Facing stiff raise from CO

thats a tough one. when i see big reraises like this i often think vulnerable pp like 99-JJ maybe. i could see this happening with AQ+ and qq-aa too though. i would call this one though and c/f...

Re: 100NL KK check/raised on flop

this one is really tough, i really hate spots like this. but i see a big pot brewing with a hand i dont want to be playing big pots with. i suppose a call then c/f is possible but i think i fold...

Re: 50NL - Marginal hand but decent odds and on button

i dont think there is anything wrong with this kind of play once or twice in a few hundred hands but its gotta be some kind of leak if its more than that (moslty talking about the pf call). after...

I play it the same.

I also think C/C here is really bad vs this villain.

what do you think he has here that has us beat?

Re: NL10: missed flush draw, TPTK instead. Lost value?

as played i think a raise on turn would have been a good choice. and without that a raise on the river is marginal but still a good idea i think.

Re: KK tough river spot

i think youre right. a lower set doesnt make any sense to me and it wasnt my first reaction. but nothing else is more likely than that. i just cant put him on a made draw.

Re: KK tough river spot

against these stats i would be likely to call this expecting him to show a lower set. maybe thats insane but how else can someone get stats playing like this. maybe this is tilt or for his image, if...

Re: NLHTP#42 Concepts&Weapons: 47-48

well certainly my argument makes more sense when there is also a straight draw out there but even in this case, a flush draw is getting the odds to make a call without question. just getting in...

Re: ace jack versus ace king

I would say that with the raise, villain is probably raising with a range where AJo is right in the middle or perhaps a little low (assuming he's adjusting for the smaller table).

without reads i...

1/3 of a pot just isn't going to get everyone to fold, and if you really have a hand this amount is sure to get you out-drawn.

Re: NLHTP#42 Concepts&Weapons: 47-48

i dont like #48 either. i cant really ever see a reason to bet so little into a pot. maybe in a river situation from position. but even so, all the arguments made above still apply. what you give up...

NL25 C-bet with QQ OOP on Axx flop?

NL 25 making a move on a QQx board

No real reads here that i remember. i just thought his bet was fishy. anyone else make this move with any frequency (i.e. the raise to 5 on the flop)?

What about calling his reraise all in? Am I...

Re: NL 25, Facing large bet on the river, worth a call??

hmm... well your hand has more equity against his likely range than i thought so maybe you are right. that said you are something like 1/5 to flop a flush draw or OESD and you can expect to lose...

Re: Nl50 flop pair and a flush draw in 3 bet pot

i call here as well. but i dont think pushing this thing is so bad either. we win a big one a little more than 40% of the time and you could fathom some players folding even AK or AQ here. but unless...

Re: NL 25, Facing large bet on the river, worth a call??

i fold pf, bet more like $2 on flop, c/c on turn and fold river. villain may be making a move here some of the time, but in my opinion not enough to justify a call.

Re: AK v. drawing board - Did I get too scared on the turn?

I suck at NL, but I'd bet a little less on the flop ($1.8 to $2) and I think I check behind on the turn unless villain is really bad.

Re: (10NL) marginal TP facing big river bet

i think this is played well. i would never make this call unless i had a strong read. i play at slightly higher stakes though so maybe games are much crazier at 10nl? but i doubt it.
