Re: Mountaineer Trip Report- WV

Oh man... I need to get there and get my roll going. The more I keep hearing how bad it is (and each story tops the next) I start drooling.

Re: Mountaineer Trip Report- WV

Stupid freezing rain kept me away tonight... but I wanted to go. On top of that, I didn't know about stepping foot in WV after Pitt took the National Champioinship away from WVU.

At any rate, I'd...

Re: Dealer mucks winning hand but shoves him the pot anyway

You think Doyle would get up at showdown and answer a cell phone call?

Re: Mountaineer Trip Report- WV

I'm pumped that they aren't going to be as smokey. To be honest it was a big reason for me not wanting to go back there.

I see an interest list there typically for at least a 5/10 Limit game,...

Re: Is there logic behind this rule??

It's ot a yes or no thing. There is certain dialogue in certain situations that is just not acceptable. Heads up, anything goes, basically. I've cut deals, made the guy pay to see one of my cards,...

Re: some omaha (&HL) questions

I didn't. I get confused since I'm new here and such.

But I do love me some Omaha. I play in a lot of the tournies on Pokerstars. Lots of fish and simple strategy can get you pretty consistent...

Re: Weird situation at Caesars

Bet your sweet ass that if I'm in the pot with the villian, the second he goes to put his chips away, I'm jumping up. Furthermore, I'm going to know how much he has on the table in front of him...

Re: Another \"Am I a D-bag\" thread

Just stop being a nit, and throw that big 5-spot out there. I'll tip $5 on a 200-300 dollar pot at the 1/2NL table.

Give people less to bitch about, and they will stop bitching!...

Re: Ruling needed, I feel dirty (Winstar obv)

Pretty much ANY casino you have to show both cards at showodown to be eligible for any part of the pot. If you are playing in a live casino, and don't know this, you deserve to lose your money......

Re: 17 way chop - was it a good decision

I'd have probably hung in there for a few more hands, and a few more KO's...

Then again, I have a strong understanding of M, stack size, and tourney strategy. Thanks Harrington on Hold Em!

Re: let\'s get the facts straight: poker makes money

I like this thread.

Casinos also have things like Bingo, or Keno parlors that do not generate the same amount of revenue that slots and tables do... but they still have them. It's a space issue,...

Re: Ruling needed, I feel dirty (Winstar obv)

I had a situation like that pop up in a 5/5 game that I was playing. Lots of action going to the river, and at showdown, the one guy says "Trip Kings". The other guy mucks his hand in disgust,...

That sounds about right...

Now, the smoking thing - I totally agree that it's silly, and frankly I'm sure it will be addressed. Having a non smoking room where people can literally stand a foot...

My best story is her sitting...

Re: Standard or foolish?

You overplayed your hand... If you are the type of player to push it in with nothing but a naked draw with 1 card to come... I'd love for you to play in my game.

Not that good, kiddo.

Re: let\'s get the facts straight: poker makes money

Does anyone have any Economics background? Why can't Vegas apply the simple laws of supply and demand to poker rooms?

For instance, if there was a demand for more slot machines because people...

Re: House rental Las Vegas?

VRBO.com is where I got my place for the WSOP. They have decent 3-4 bedroom places there for around 2000/month... A lot cheaper than most hotels if you are splitting it with a few people.

Re: some omaha (&HL) questions

The Mirage in Vegas spreads a pretty regular 5/10 O8b game, and if you get the right time/table, you can crush that game. The Orleans is the only casino in Vegas that I know that runs a weekly Omaha...

Well... Karma and the Poker Gods aside, he cannot say that he is playing the board.

Once he mucked his hand, the hand is dead, period. He could do anything else - Even if he tabled his hand and...

Re: 8/16 TT Flops a Set against a Nit and a Weak Passive

Nothing there would scare me. If you are in a game where people are peeling with anything for three bets besides good sets, two pair, or a strong draw you should be a rich man.

You've got the...

Re: a matter of attitudes

True story... One of the big reasons that I prefer "other" poker games is that I don't feel that many players are as good.

Let's face it. No-Limit Hold'em is basically a crap shoot for all of...
