Re: Between a rock and a hard place - stud hi

I'm still not sure about re-raising 4th. I called mainly because seat 7 max bet instead of half-bet which I thought might be more likely if he did have trips - would he want to keep aces and possibly...

Re: Between a rock and a hard place - stud hi

The flush wasn't bothering me so much as the 2 hands on either side that had paired their doors. Chances of one or other having made trips would be doubled, and either could have 2 pair, since they...

Would anyone raise here (6th) without having made a straight or trips. I reckon he started with 8 9 10. Was folding ok. What if I had had aces up in this situation?

Re: Train wreck hand - stud hi

Not only had seat one a pair of aces he also had king kicker too!

It crossed my mind on 3rd that seat 7 might have trips, but I thought str8 draw after that. He...

Train wreck hand - stud hi

Having built up a big head of steam on 3rd and 4th this one went off the rails big time! I know I was too agressive but was trying to get the third player out. How would you have played this?

7...

Stud Hi - is this a runner, runner?

I was playing this guy and hit kings full on 6th after starting from 3K3 - he'd made trip queens by then and so the raising began. A few days earlier same player had scoffed at me saying I'd rivered...

Re: Stud Hi, - was it right to fold aces here?

I think my first thought was trip 10s - then thought maybe hes on a draw. So I decided to call the final raise on 4th and see what 5th would bring. When he showed no let up even though there was no...

Re: Stud Hi, - was it right to fold aces here?

$2 - I bet $2 then he raised to $4 - I re-raised $6 at which point seat 3 folded, and he re-raised again to $8.

Stud Hi, - was it right to fold aces here?

I figured I was up against a sf draw here or else trips was I right to fold or should I have called it down. Seat 5 is fairly tight/agressive ususally and I dont think he'd have bet like this if he...

Stud Hi - Small Pairs question

What are peoples thoughts on playing small pairs in stud high. Do people think they are worth playing without an overcard or straight-flush kicker? I've tended to see 4th if my cards are all live...

Re: STUD HI - dealt trip 5s but opponent makes open kings on 4th

I'm new to Stud, is it standard to slowplay this on 3rd street? When do you generally want to slowplay 3rd street?

In this instance slowplaying seemed correct to me. This limit is fairly tight...
