Pretty easy bet. Especially since I feel comfortable folding to a raise vs an unknown.

preflop is a fold as everyone has mentioned. What I was going to post has already been said by everyone, so I just have a question for everyone. I think I that I check this flop quite a...

Re: I\'m depressed and I haven\'t played a single hand yet

[ QUOTE ]
Tight is right at 2/4, IMO... You're paying 2.5BB/100 in rake and the pots are huge due to your awful opponent. Few large pots - less rake taken > Many small pots - more rake taken. Or...

Mucksville. I'm not crazy about the flop cap either.

Re: TP + fd on turn in unraised pot

The pot is small. I'm more concerned about getting bets in the middle than protecting anything, especially since there's some chance we're drawing slim. I call and see what happens, planning to call...

Re: J7s BB 2/4

Raise the turn. 5s will often raise, single flush cards will often peel, and there are quite a few rivers that will make you or your opponents uncomfortable.

yes, I play 1-2 at stars....so maybe I don't have as big a leak as I thought?

Re: Your method doesn\'t take into account postflop play

I had the box check and those were the stats. I unchecked the box and the stats came up as the same, which does not make sense.

I'm guessing you play at Stars. PT is...

Re: ** THE OFFICE DISCUSSION THREAD - THE UK AND AMERICAN VERSIONS ***

Great comedy is dangerous. Its essence is the discomfort and insecurity at the heart of the human condition, and it necessarily walks a fine line between insight and insult. An inherently difficult...

Re: hit set on river raisy daisy?

Yeah. I call a 3-bet given how much spewage goes on blind v blind.

I also might 3-bet, but initiative seems more useful OOP with these sorts of hands. In position I'm fine with keeping the pot...

Re: Playing 88 in a vacuum

You could c/r the flop, but your line is fine I think. Unpaired As and Ks are going to check the turn a ton on this board, and BU's range is likely to be pretty wide, even after the flop call.

Re: Is this a good river fold?

I just call the flop in position and go from there. As played, it's probably an ok fold, but you've bloated the pot and have to at least think about calling vs an unknown. Which is why I don't raise...

Also, bot != PAHud. PAHud just gives you information that is readily available, plenty of players misapply or misinterpret that information, or get tilty / tired / frustrated...

Re: AKs gets 3-bet by tight tag...wtf?

I just call down after the flop 3-bet. At that point it could be an overambitious A9-AK or maybe something like a PP or flush draw in addition to the hands that have us in rough shape. Nit/tags...

Re: JJ in capped pot

I'm not convinced that UTG adds enough to the pot to make 3-betting better than just calling given your read, so I shut it down.

Hu it seems closer to a fold than a 3-bet. I call down absent an A...

Re: preflop

I muck, but I don't mind a cc with ATo in this spot vs an unknown BU (unlikely to get it HU, good relative position, don't have much idea about BU's capping range), so it seems at least kind of...

Re: blind v. blind hand

Yuck. Just plan to c/c down as I'm sure other people have said by now. This open complete/bet flop line can be a wide range of hands, and includes a lot of air. Our hand is marginal. The pot is...

Re: Out of position with kings against a whiner

It's a kind of interesting play. Donking the river is cheaper than 3-betting the turn when we're behind. But I doubt he fsd raises very often, and when he raises the river we're probably in bad shape...
