I like a fake blocker on the river for ½ the pot. That way he'll pay you a bit with an ace, and it still gives him a chance to bluff.

Well, in hindsight, it's easy enough to say you should just check-call the river too. By betting out you probably mostly get value from an AQ that might have checked behind and not from much else.
