Its annoying but i think its a pretty easy fold without a good read of villain making this sort of play in the past with air.

FT facing a significant overbet as the CL

I found this to be a somewhat odd spot. The villian was neither super tight nor Laggish. I won't say anything else about him because I want to see what people think of this spot in general.

Re: 220$ NLTRN TPWK first hand dangerous board

[ QUOTE ]
Against players that I know like to raise their draws I would shove this flop. Readless, I'd look to get this in on any non-club turn.

Re: NLTRN - short Villain reraises AI

Given your PF raise I think this is a call.

Its not a call you enjoy making...but you cannot play timid at 25/50 if you opponent start to make a habit of pushing you off pots.

The facts are...

with given blind sizes i dont see calling with KT is good, even with such reads. you have a nice edge still, i'd wait a better spot (Ax, KQ+, 22+, KJ probably)

Re: 3rd st scenario in stud8

I think your ante steal is pretty automatic here because its so easy to play your razz hand correctly vs a K who plays back at you (assuming the opponent needs somekind of hand to playback)

On 4th...

I count ~14k to call

Button is shorter....he only has to call 12.5k And if the opener folds he'll be getting a damn good price.

on 6th, giving him a 3 and another unpaired card less than 8 in the hole I have about 37% equity.

I'm very surprised to hear this.

Re: 1/2 Stud High: 4AA 5th Street Decision

Ok, I've been on vacation for a while.

But here are my thoughts on the hand.

If you raise 5th you should check/call 6th ONLY when facing a relatively straight forward player. Carlos'...

Re: razz: Checking the river w/ a a 6, HU

You have to bet the river.

I can't imagine an opponent with A2 or A3 in the hole instantly putting you on a better hand...so he'd probably make it 3 bets if he was beating your on 6th.

Since he...

Re: razz: Was the play of my hand standard?

Carlos,
I bet 5th. But check calling doesn't bother me. I bet because there is a significant chance he has already paired OR has an 8 down (in which case you are ahead).

I think a check...

Re: Thought I\'d Post One

I don't like it.

1. If you opponent is sane his 3rd street 3-bet suggests he has more than Ts. He at least has Ts with a good kicker.

This makes it harder for him to fold the river because he...

Re: $4.40 180man STT on stars----->>>what\'s my move???

If you think your opponent is gonna go crazy regardless then you should check call the flop.

If he checks behind, you get a free card which is good.
If he bets a regular amount you have great...

Re: The river bluff-raise

Did you consider raising the turn to protect your hand from possible high cards (which are played more often vs button raises). You also maaay fold a few 89 type hands.

It looks like you're deep...

Re: 4/180 JJ, standard?

I also vote for 3x instead of 4x raising.

I like sherman's thoughts (but in a $4 they may not apply), but I have different reasons too.

The main reason I like raising a bit smaller is so that...

Re: 180 man: final table bubble

With your stack, and a 5 handed table I could raise or fold this.

I would raise if I've been quiet for a while. I'd fold if I had recently shown down crap, or if I'd stolen a few times recently....

The most important thing is to ay attention to how your opponents are playing.

If they are loose and giving action pretty much play a cash-game game.
