1. Leave it blank
2. Make up some stuff about starting my own...

Re: 66

Fairly disgusting play with KJ or 33? WTF, he's 34/22. You don't know his postflop lines. Maybe he just picked up a pre-flop chart and the extent of his post-flop play is "Big hand, me checkraise...

Re: j9o in sb

About the flop check raise, I don't think the "building a big pot" is a big factor. I think what's more important is how people will play their hands when you check and how they'll play when you...

Re: Embarassing hand vs a maniac

Just because every board will consist of 5 overcards doesn't mean that our equity is roughly the same against his range no matter what falls.

If you're gonna play for set value only you need to...

Re: I\'m thinking of tightening up in these kinds of spots (pf)

hrm. well, 2 hands definitely isn't enough - you don't have the sample because you're often folding those hands, i'd imagine. i had something like 500 hands (using my entire DB). the fact of the...

Re: I\'m thinking of tightening up in these kinds of spots (pf)

If someone runs that exact same query and gets in the neighborhood of (1.00) BB/hand I will be very suprised

Re: I\'m thinking of tightening up in these kinds of spots (pf)

For example -

I filtered for:

Blind status: BB
VPIP: Put Money In (this means someone else raised)
Hands with between: 3 and 3 players seeing the flop
Hole cards: K9o K8o Q9o Q8o JTo J9o J8o...

Re: I\'m thinking of tightening up in these kinds of spots (pf)

The reason BB/100 takes 500K to converge to +- .5BB/100 because there are so many different situations to play. Individual situations will converge much quicker than that.

If I give you AA on...

Re: I\'m thinking of tightening up in these kinds of spots (pf)

I went to pokertracker. I filtered for the following:

I am in the hijack of a 4-6 handed game. Exactly 3 people saw the flop, no more no less. I wanted to see how my hands were performing in...

Re: I\'m thinking of tightening up in these kinds of spots (pf)

[ QUOTE ]

how many hands do you think you need in your db to have a good sample size for K9o vs a raise and a caller in the big blind? say you have 1000000 hand db, how skewed do you think this...

Re: I\'m thinking of tightening up in these kinds of spots (pf)

Re: I\'m thinking of tightening up in these kinds of spots (pf)

Check your pokertracker results for these types of hands (use filters liberally) and see how close you are to -(0.50) bb. Otherwise you will just get a handfull of

1.) "I fold"
2.) "I call"
3.)...

Re: Request for strong draws...

on the turn, he's a dog to 52o, bottom pair, bottom kicker, no draw. he's a significant dog to A7o, and he's a dog to unpaired ace high hands like A2o.

Re: Request for strong draws...
