Re: TT live hand

I think I would almost always bet this flop. It is unfortunate that your preflop raise got so little repsect. The pot is so large that it is right for the drawing hands to call almost anything...

Re: I think that you think that I think.....

Your play will drive some nuts but make the sound players mouths water.
You can value bet the river when checked by the sb but I would never raise when he bets into you. I think both 88 and TT are...

Re: Live 6/12: A8 flops a gutter and goes to war

Laying it down preflop, even with this table is the prudent approach. You get into too much trouble to make this a profitable hand.

Re: $10+1 Stars: JJ on paired flop

You have to cbet here. It cal be folded if he raises and you can see a free turn and river if he calls. His action to your flop bet defines his hand much more than his turn and river bet do.
As...

Re: When to give up when you miss

I like a slightly different line because of the 2 suited board. You raise has made the pot big enough for a flush or straight draw to call you down and maybe improve by hitting a pair. Give them...

Re: On the defensive versus a sLAG...

FOLD - your time will be better on some future hand. If you are going to continue you have to raise. Do not call a three bet though for the gutshot. Pot odds are only 9 to 1 but the implied odds...

Re: Did I just price myself in ?

[ QUOTE ]
Raising pf is somewhat marginal, I like to have a read before I open with QJ. With the bb sitting out, you can make an argument for raising, but you raised too much. 250-300 does the same...

Re: $27.50 AhJc on KhJhTh; villian overshoves flop all-in

You might not want to say thank you before you get it in but that is a possibility.

I have seen the same thing. Shove and if AA or KK you can say NH and pray for a suckout while you open the tourny schedule to register for the next one.

Re: KKK on 4-flush board

I feel your pain - have made the same fold with the same result. It is easy to call one but there are two people and both have no clubs??? No way. But...... the key is that you saved one Big Bet...

Re: KQ vs 3 bettor on Q25 flop

I think that the range givin for the SB is way to tight for your description of him. JJ and may other hands are in his range. I will just let him lead and either stack chips or say NH at the river....

Re: FTP Fifty-Fifty- I should be insta-calling this, right?

You got lucky after raising a raggy hand that should be mucked preflop. Now you have to turn off the chat feature for the next 15 minutes and then call. Try not to be too harsh on the next person...

Re: Top set - when to stop raising?

I have seen some wierd sh*t at these games so the hype aggression could be almost anything. I will tend to give the guy some credit and just call but this really smells like an A T suited or an...

Re: Full Tilt, 10K guaranteed, 6max, KK on paired board

It is refreshing to have no read due to a lack of attention, ty for the fresh breeze of honesty. Don't berate him, just make a note and add him to your list of buddies so that you can find where he...

Re: KK...a thought process in the heat of battle.

I regularly play 8-16 live and the answer to your question is YES! I recently lost w/QQ when I three bet and loosy called w/9-6s, flopped and rivered a 6. He paid 5 more small bets to see the...

Re: TT in CO

One - I like the three bet to try and keep the lead. Give the button the opportunity to make a bad fold after he made a bad call w/any of the K hands that you mentioned. I do play online and think...

LOL You forgot to give your wife your TotalRewards card when she went to the slots. You will never get there by playing poker.

harrahs freerolls?

I have received a number of invitations to tourneys that are put on by Harrahs in LV. They seem to have a large prize pool $75,000 plus a seat to the main event for the winner and pay tons of...

Re: bodog $33 hand: when to bring out the hammer w/AKsoooooted..

Dunkman had the right idea. Make a 4X raise and shove any flop that doesn't hammer you hard. You stand the best chance of making some money without haveing to appear at the river with only 2...

Re: TPTK on paired flop

Another K is the only good card for you. An A does not change anything and a T doesn't help except it makes it less likely that you are behind and more likely that you will chop.
[edit] An A...

Re: TPTK on paired flop

The cold caller should scare you as much as the 3 bet. The position of the caller is important but this board is all in the playing zone so proceed with care if at all. My cold caller read would...

Re: value of pocket pair with flopped overpair

The size of the board cards is a very important consideration. If you hold 66 and the flop is KKQ you might want to muck to a check but you should raise if the flop is 884. If the blinds are the...

I think the raise is the best line and I'm sorry to say that it was only a fleeting thought because I have been running bad and now I am playing weak tight. Time to make a major change and this hand...

Thinking too much??

QQ in the cutoff in a very loose 8-16 brick and mortar game.
3 limps to me and I raise but the button , both blinds and all the limpers call. Flop is 7 way and a rainbow J 9 7. I bet after it is...
