Re: 50% returns on small amounts?

[ QUOTE ]

Re: 50% returns on small amounts?

Carl Icahn's hedge fund was up 56% last year and he took 50% profits. He is on pace to break that this year. He owns more than 13% in BEAS, which just recieved a buyout offer from Oracle. Icahn is up...

Re: 50% returns on small amounts?

50% return is not hard at all for an intelligent investor with less than $1,000,000 in his portfolio. Like i stated in my "How much money will I have in 3 years" thread, the reason why people think...

Re: QQ88 -- single suited in EP (6max)

You have to raise this hand. With any double pair hand your 25% to make a set on the flop, plus your CB will take it down often and you will get paid off frequently when you hit the set. You will...

Re: shortstacking PLO

people who shortstack are those who dont have the skill to play at the max buyin. Thats why you see a ton of people buy in for 8,000 at the 200/400 tables on FT. They cant handle a deep stack facing...

Re: Should I just just call the flop with top set?

This is an easy raise. A time you can consider a call with a set of aces on the flop is if the board is very draw heavy and you want to see a safe turn card before you pop in a raise.

Re: Should fold earlier?

Turn call is terrible too. You need 3.88 : 1 to call on the turn and you're getting 2:1. Even if you hit, it's not the nuts and theres no guarantee he will call your bet, so implied odds are...

Re: rate this pf play

Call and abuse him? This is fine in a lot of cases, but we're certain he has the best hand preflop. He should be trying to get as much money in as possible.

Re: FD and GS vs 2 players

You're lucky Dul bet called here. You NEED at least 3 players in the pot to justify your equity for this play here. Even so, the extra club in your hand makes you only 29% (using pure outs). This is...

Re: Bluffed off best hand?

I lead this turn and i dont think you were bluffed. Any combination of a 3 + 2,4,5,6 gives him a straight.

I disagree with ribbo about the blocking bet. A second check after a pot-size flop bet...
