Re: 25/50 - Turned Trips, Rivered Boat OOP

I'll check behind with a flush given two pair on the board, but call a raise. I vote for the 1/2 pot lead

Re: 5/10 Deep vs Bad Reg

If you are going to bluff, you have to do it on the turn where you have credibility and great draws. On the river after showing weakness on a drawy board you may get looked up by any pair.

Re: 10/20 AK TPTK in blind battle on drawy flop

I love the line. Like just calling the flop to see what appears to be a blank on the turn before getting it all in.

Re: 1000NL, flush OOP against a solid TAG on a paired board

Underbet for value? I like 250 and hope he calls with a hand you can beat, fold to push.

Re: 5/10 hu v donk

My input:

1. Save the preflop raises with baby suited two gappers for at least when you have position
2. If he has a set, how can villain check behind on that turn with all those draws out there?...

Re: FTP hand history w/ all cards

As an IT guy/poker player, I can guarantee you all hand history requests are automated. There is no "guy" sending these emails. If such a problem exist(ed/s), it would be systemic and likely to...

Re: can i sustain my current lifestyle? (workaholic)

I can relate to your situation. I started a software consulting firm in 1998 at 23, right when the Internet was ramping up. Worked 60 hours a week, played cards 10-15 (I counted BJ then, now NLHE...

Re: Strange river action on paired board NL1k

Just call the 50 on river, problem solved. he can't call you without a K or a 6, why raise?

Re: TT otb what can i do?

I think pretty much any hand that beats you calls, and good chance he holds a bigger pair or a K. I would have folded.

Re: Hit my draw and get confused...

I don't like the bet under any circumstances, but even if you have the nuts you're beatable, for me it's a push or check decision. Just from my observations, that's the kind of hands you see online...

Re: how do steal/re steal situations adjust to deeper stacks.

BB's reraise not big enought to take pot down preflop, so he clearly is willing to play OOP post flop. I'd either fold, or call and hope for a set if I think he'll stack off with a big pair.

Re: flop decision - big draw

Couple of clarifications:

1. It was checked to me in last position on the flop... okay I can still check instead of firing but I was last to act.

2. I had 1000 left at the point of this...

flop decision - big draw

2/5 live, average stack 2k. UTG limper (2k) is stuck almost 5k, I (1300) raise LP to 20 with 10h9h. TAG in SB (2k) makes it 120 (range JJ-AA, AK), UTG limper calls (range 37s - A9o), I call.

I exude deliberate agitation and disgust and pretend to be on tilt, and then overbet the nuts

Re: 3 standard floats?

1. Fold preflop
2. Fold preflop
3. Fold preflop

Don't play raised pots with trash just because you have position.

Re: Live hands

I think people should be just as wary about playing below their comfort level as above. I can't play my friends' home games any more, because I get bored and play stupid.

Re: KK hand. 4400 stacks 5-10 6-max..

What range of hands will laggy BB reraise with here? Probably not 69, maybe medium to high pair or two big cards?

If I'm villian, I find it easy to put you on an overpair on the flop call, 95%...
