Re: 6 handed forum?

Wow, I just had no idea that more people played 6 max than full ring, is that really the case and if so I am assuming there has been a study on it been more profitable?

6 handed forum?

I couldn't find this info in the FAQ so let me apologize in advance if this is commonly known but is this forum only for 6 handed? Nearly all of the posts I have seen are 6 handed but I can't imagine...

Re: Stars 5NL flopped top 2-pair, calling station overbets turn?

I don't think its unreasonable to put him on 22 at all, but why the massive overbet on the turn, what exactly does he think the Q changed? J10 just got there, and he shouldn't be that scared of a...

Re: NL50 JhTh -- How do you play this one?

Definitely looks like you would be calling a big all in for a chop at best and more than likely a loss. The 5-10% of the time that he does have air cannot justify making this call.

Re: Stars 5NL flopped top 2-pair, calling station overbets turn?

What hand are we scared of him having? We have to lower the weight on pocket 8s or 9s obviously so flush draw, 22, A9hh or air (light weight) are all in his range. I don't think J10 would overbet...

Re: 25NL TT 1 off the button

His range looks to be JJ+, AK from preflop but I dont know why he would PSB the flop, considering your raise/call preflop shouldn't he be putting you on 77-JJ and AK/AQ/AJ? If so I would have thought...

Re: NL25 Two nines on the button

Definite call, he is not overbetting this flop with 1010+, he would surely try to build the pot, if he had a set he had a set.

Re: Stars 10NL midpair facing huge river overbet

I have definitely found that at lower limits loose villians overbet rivers when they are good and want to win more than the pot that has been built justifies.

At least that has been my experience...

Re: JJ facing overcard on board NL10

Tough position, from the preflop action I think we can rule out 1010+ so Ax, 22-99 and KQ/KJ/K10 are all in his range. The call on the flop and check behind on the turn suggests he may be looking for...

Re: shoving with top pair and flush draw

I would fold>raise>limp this preflop but with that flop you are obviously getting your money in on the flop. I don't see any other line, once you raised to .80 and SB came over the top with 3.20 in...

Re: 3-Way AK TPTK

Flush draw seems less likely to me considering the A and K are already accounted for so that points to hands like AK/AQ/AJ/66/77/67 for SB and a little tighter than that for the BB. (check/raise...

Re: how to beat people who min raise aa pf?

My money would have been in there also on both without a read that he only minraises AA-KK.

Play looks fine to me.

Re: 50NL TT on the 8-high board against AI and cold-call

CO just calling obviously gives the impression he wants you in there with him but his stats show him as weak, seems pretty read dependent but if your read is he could be doing it with OESD or top...

Re: NL50: Passive NIT coldcalls and fires turn and river

Pre flop and flop are obviously fine, turn is where it gets interesting. Been so nitty I think your preflop range is fair, mine would be 22-88, AK and maybe AQ (light weight), from that I would think...

Re: Middle set on the button vs. 2 opponents

Slightly smaller raise on the flop from me also, with the K club out there in my mind we can eliminate the most obvious flush draw and bet for value against TPTK or the bullets. Based on a raise to...

10NL Overpair vs 2 players with action on flop

My only question was what weight to put on set mining, what weight to put on flush draws and how often they show up with a bigger pocket than me.

Laying this down?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em,...

Re: 10NL Made straight on the river facing an all in reraise.

He did end up having J10, in my mind I had to raise the river bet for value, and the call is still reasonable, I agree that this can be done by any J at this level.

Thanks for the input mate...

Re: 10NL Made straight on the river facing an all in reraise.

Thanks for the input folks, sometimes you just need to confirm with a few others that you made the right play even when you are 95% sure you did.

Re: 10NL Made straight on the river facing an all in reraise.

I think making this call was +ev so I agree with you n4rf, just on here to see if people think it's a leak?

Re: 10NL Made straight on the river facing an all in reraise.

It didn't take me long to call at the time, but I found it hard to put him on a hand from the flop and turn action. Apart from him having trips I didn't really know what hands he would make this...

Re: KK faces big bet on turn - giving me possible flush draw

The bet/call on the flop suggests he was drawing, and nearly everything hit on the turn. Your play looks fine to me but it's time to fold.

10NL Made straight on the river facing an all in reraise.

No reads on villian, only played a few hands. Comments on all streets appreciated but I guess the real question is should I have value bet the river, and when facing the river reraise is this a call?...
