Re: pot control with A-K

[ QUOTE ]
Call. And jamming turn is what I would do. Why would you be playing for pot control NOW when the pot is already the size of your stack?

I meant pot control so the pot...

pot control with A-K

UTG is unknown.

Any better ideas on playing this hand - specifically with regards to pot control. Since I 3-bet preflop and cbet, the pot was very large and I faced a very tough decision on the...

Re: A-K - late in tourney

Thanks for the feedback - The part that threw me was that the big stack just called - It just seemed like an incredibly strong play - If he had anything besides Aces or Ks - why would he encourage a...

I would insta-call the button - but not sure after the SB calls.

What do I do ?

Re: Official Stars Regulars Thread: Part II

Anyone run across pottok4 at 50NL ?

I've played Juliam a fair bit at 25NL - we rarely tangled because we're both tight - I think I have her as a small winner. I didn't expect to make money off of...

50 NL pay off flush ?

This drives me nuts about 50NL. I hate paying these guys off after they play so badly chasing their draws !

BB is 33/8/3.6

Given the odds are 6 to 1, do I have any choice but to call even...

pocket 10s vs LAG

UTG is 56/36/10 ! - Not really a maniac - but very tough to play against !

It seems like the more TPTK and overpair hands I bust, the more paranoid I become when I have those type of hands ! What...

Re: NL25 - Analyze this PF vs LAG opponent

I would usually fold it to a raise, but if I think opponent is raising lightly - I will 3-bet once in a while simply to take it down preflop. If he calls the 3 bet - I play postflop very carefully...

JJ - Final Table

I don' know if it's relevant, but these two hands happened in a row. I had played with the Button for the majority of the tournement and I thought he was a very solid player - he never seemed to be...

Re: saving money vs set

I forgot to mention button was 37/19/2.5 but really hadn't gotten out of line against me previous to this - so I didn't think he was pulling a move.

saving money vs set

When he min raised me on flop - I figured I was beat - what is the best course of action to tell for sure? I don't like calling because I don't really learn anything - but maybe I'm wrong. I figured...

Re: 50NL: Folding AA!? Too agg?

I'm not agreeing or disagreeing - just trying to understand the thinking behind going all-in on the flop with a draw.

If CO was drawing wouldn't he be better off pushing on the flop so he could...

Re: Warning micro micro: Gross turn and river

Actually I think a fold at 02/05 NL against a 29/0/0.33 player is a good fold. There are alot of players at this level who are loose passive and call to the river and it is impossible to read what...

Re: playing vs 3-bets

But then, thinking ahead. What is your thinking (I know it's situational) on the flop ? Similar to that of a normal raise ? If you call - you know he's going to c-bet. If you 4-bet - then you are...

Re: Post Flop Aggression stats

Re: 25NL: Mathematical Call?

1.2 to 1 , to me, means : 1 / (1 + 1.2) = 1 / 2.2

Since you're getting it all in on the flop - you have two chances to hit your draw - which is roughly 12 outs x 4 = 48%.

Re: TPGK Minraised

Also would you expect someone call with Q-10 o or Q-9s and then minraise the flop ? I also wouldn't expect...
