Re: NL 100 my trips runs into heat.

Well, you're better than 5 of the aces, and behind 6. He could also have an 77 potentially, although its not likely. Factor in air or a lower pocket pair into his range, I definitely think this is...

Re: 50NL Another extraction Question - Flopped set

[ QUOTE ]
Besides, these questions like just flop a set or a boat or quads, how do I extract the maximum, are really boring, just bet them out, it is very hard to play them wrong if you bet them.

Re: AKs flops over/nfd. Call or Fold?

I prefer bet/3bet here. But as long as the money gets in, you're happy.

Re: Some NL200 hands

1. I think bettign 80 looks scarier than the push, but if this is standard for you, then looks OK. I think you get looked up weak a lot though from the flush missing.

2. Shove. He's 3-betting...

Re: [100 NL] Flopped nut straight, line check please

I think this qualifies for an overbet shove on turn.

As played, yeah you have to shove river, even though he probably filled up.

Re: 200NL: I Hate Letting Go

I used to have the same problem you do, but have gotten better recently. With effective stacks the size they are, and knowing that basically you'll have to get it all on on the flop with no FE, you...

Moldman, please re-read the hand history.

Re: QQ weired spot preflop

Yikes. He cold-calls a 4-bet? I don't think this is a push and I'd lean towards calling here. My plan would be to call here, and raise his flop bet and fold to a push. I think you're looking at...

Re: Nitty half-stack open shoves over EP PFR - calling range? (100nl)

[ QUOTE ]
QQ+,AK. Everything else goes into the muck. If villain was slightly looser i would call with JJ as well

[/ QUOTE ]

That range sounds about right, even though I'd probably fold AK...

Re: ***Official November Chat Thread: The Golden Duck***

The first one was against a guy I had a note on saying, doesn't fold if he tries to steal. Sure enough, after the hand he says "Don't raise me". Eff you.

The last two were against the same...

Re: 200 NL, bluff in re-raised pot.

The only thing I don't like about it is the fact you've already determined he's a donk, and donks just don't fold. I wouldn't be at all surprised (because it's been done to me before) to be called...

Re: 200NL - AA on monotone flop against nit

For those saying call the turn, what's the plan on river? Assume it's a blank and he leads for $40 into a 71 pot.

Re: 200NL - AA on monotone flop against nit

Like I said, I felt really terrible folding, but been trying to think ahead more and I really couldn't imagine calling many river bets, so I just cut my losses. Obviously, the whole hand is dictated...

200NL - AA on monotone flop against nit

Villain here is a bad 18/4 guy. I've been playing kinda loose, running around 20/15 at the table. I felt kinda lost here. I felt really weak playing it this way, but do I really want to build a...

Re: Full Ring No-Limit Forum now unanimously requests a split.

I definitely agree the forum needs split. Today's posts have made that even more clear. It's a bit ridiculous to see a NL2000 post right next to a NL4 post. The advice for the exact same hands at...

Re: nl2000 AKo

I like it. I think with the turn check, you're creating an easy spot in that you plan on check-calling, unless a J comes on the river. I think this is a good line, albeit maybe slightly higher...
