Re: set facing river c/r
Bet harder on the flop for sure...turn check is ok...if you bet and he calls...he could still have a lot of holdings...
On the river I still think there is value in betting, say around half...

Re: Set + OESD
Folding the flop is optimal, as matrix suggested. You could be drawing very thin as all you have is an underpair and the idiot end of an OESD which also has 2-flush on board.
Turn call is pretty...

Re: What should be my play here?
You have to lead the flop here...he could have hands ranging from med-pair to Qs, A10, KQ and maybe even some other hands if he's a LAG. Obv he could have all the other hands that would crush you,...

Re: trips on the river call or push
Yeh...personally I'd think more people lead out with a weak king than check/calling. Some might call a bet in late position but not check/call...

This is a $7 SnG sat where first place gets a $50 satellite ticket and 2nd and 3rd get a refund $7 ticket. I had been pushing PF for the last 2 hands (67o and AJo respectively) as we were on the...

Re: 2 high only hands...
First hand I'd fold on the flop. You only have an overpair and a gutshot draw but the board is paired and is 2-flush. Even though you're HU the other guy prob has at least an overpair or a big draw...

Re: AAJ2 DS from the BB 3-way
Check/call the river...the only hand that can beat you is a K and although he may have a King, depending on reads, you should prob still call the river as the pot is simply too big...

Re: Slow or fast?
I would usually raise in this spot despite the fact that I have a monster hand barring a very reliable read, as most people who play Lo8 are fairly loose and are willing to call with much weaker...

Re: New to o8 please help on all streets
Marginal call PF but prob ok for LP games...flop bet is debatable as you dont really have a low and only a nut flush draw for high...the rest is pretty straightforward.

Re: Hand versus LAG and fish, 1/2 L08

I think the flop bet and call is ok, though it depends on the kind of hands you think you're up against. However, after you got...

Re: .50/$1 Hi-Lo Limit
A455s is a decent hand and definitely playable in late position with a limp. On the flop you don't have a high draw and your low draw is only to the 2nd nuts, clear fold.

Re: New to LO8: Question on stats
VP$IP a bit tight imo, but tight is better than lose in this game...at these limits I think 20~25% is about right. Won $ at showdown is gd but maybe u can raise up to around 65~70%. PF raise a little...

I think the river call...

Re: LO8 .25/.50 noob

You can consider 3 betting with that hand from the button if you feel that its likely the blinds will still come along. The flop is a must raise.
