nice post. its basic, but i think we all need to be reminded of this from time to time.

a lot of the time ego gets in the way and we regs try to outplay each other when theres no need for it.

i like it. although, sometimes i'd call the turn since you have so many outs and your hand will be quite disguised if you hit. no one believes you backdoored a flush or hit your double gutter...

With his stack as it is, I ended up betting 38 to give myself room to fold if villain shoved. If I had bet 50, and villain shoved, I usually end up talking myself into calling and losing.

villian is unknown, he had generally been tight, and not too out of line, but: we have a lot of history, where i folded after i tried to c/r bluff him on the flop in a rr pot..

I doubled with AA...
