Re: What would be better...?

It depends what do you mean by "profitable".
If you forget about the risk of detection 1 is more profitable by far. If you take it into account both are probably the same as both would allow you to...

Re: writing an article, want to double check math

Overpair or set : 34.4%
Any pair : 54.1%

Re: farha vs PA, hsp episode 14

Running it 2/3/4/5/n times does not change EV of the play.

Re: Cutting Off Set Equity

[ QUOTE ]
ometimes you'll crack his set.

Re: Cutting Off Set Equity

The simplest way to do that is to see what is equity of AA IF you hit a set. It is about 80% (you can stove it.. AA vs 33 with one 3 on the board will do the trick).
So for 100BB stacks you win 60BB...

Re: Bluffing in 3-bet pot

Looks like a spew because most players bets somewhere if they dont have anything at all. I would guess he has a T or something like 88-99 and is insta-calling now.

Re: Why does a flush beat a straight?

With suited connectors you flop a straight in 1.3% of all cases and a flush in 0.8% of all cases so the flush beat a straight as you flop it less often /images/graemlins/grin.gif
