Re: Absolute Bad Beat Jackpot hit!

my favorite is how AP gets in on the fun by sharing in the jackpot when it is hit.....

"As soon as someone hits a qualifying bad beat, 70% of the jackpot will be shared between everyone at the...

Re: NL10 I played AK like 72o

there's nothing wrong with playing your hand like this in position. you'll make a lot of money against weaker aces and kings by taking a flop in position and having them outkicked.

on this hand,...

Re: NL25 AA vs 2 pf callers after my 3 bet

there is no problem with this hand, as long as you open up all-in. AK is not going to call your PF 3-bet and then fold when flopping a king and a set will simply win your money, so force the...

Re: NL50 150BB\'s deep w/AA. How musch to 4 bet PF?

once you get to put in over 1/5 of your stack preflop with aces, then it doesn't matter what happens. You could have raised to anything above $16.50 to deny proper implied odds.

Obviously, the...

Re: $10 NL - TT in Blind vs. Blind (Play along with me)

re-raises to $2.10 and calls a shove. if your re-raise is just called, then push flops with no A or K in it.

since you're going broke against JJ+ anyway, your main goal in this hand is to...

Re: best places to play in tulsa and biloxi

biloxi's a little out of the way from tulsa to ATL, no?

if you're going, though, stay at the Beau Rivage on the poker room rate ($69/wkday; $90/wknd). Not sure if the IP has a room rate, but I've...

Re: Nut flush draw turns into trips OOP

once you turn the J, i would check-call and then block bet just about any river, including another J. the problem with leading the turn, imo, is what are you going to do when you get raised?

My...

Re: Interesting turn spot, 200 BB deep

The only hands you need to worry about not letting get away are AA and QQ and flush draws. Whatever else he has, he is either not putting any more money in regardless or one of you is going broke.

Im saying the hand was played way too funky for it to be a full house or a better ace (turn AND river check) .Unless you have major history at the table of taking shots at pots in position...

Re: AK flops top two in interesting position

you should push or fold pre-flop, seeing as how the fifth raise would only be a little more than pot-sized. once you get to the flop and he bets out, you're probably chopping at best, but what can...

Re: 50 NL KK turn bet question

i like it. KJ and J9 are very likely the only hands that have more than 5 outs against us and it might let a tight opponent get off of KQ or QJ. Not insignificantly, we have two of the cards J9...

Re: Trips with good kicker, but I\'m throwing up.

i think raising the flop is poor because you're not going to like getting 3-bet and you essentially turn your hand into a bluff. your hand does have value here, so there's no need to run off KK-JJ...

i would donk the turn into him, taking the equity of his flop raise away from him. if he raises you again, then you can believe him. if he just calls, bet half-pot on a safe river card. tens,...

Re: 50NL: So lost with my NFD

well, you can't fold with the implied odds he's giving you on his check-raise and you're likely not going to be getting good enough odds to call on the turn since he's going to have like 2/3 of a PSB...
