Re: NL50: AK 4 bet pot deepstacked.

IF only i can get it right when i play my own hand /images/graemlins/smile.gif.

Yeah it takes balls to make that play, you really need to know your opponent. I might make those plays in a live...

Re: NL50: AK 4 bet pot deepstacked.

I think you played it fine. I am asking myself the question why would villain bet into me on the flop after you took control of the pot. Wouldn't he check to the raiser with a big hand and go for a...

Re: (NL25) AQ, flopped an ace, facing overbet.

He could easily have AK, A9 or A10 here which have you beat. I am thinking this is what he had.

Re: AQ from SB, Newb River Question

You can put in a defensive bet on the river, if you are raised you are most likely beat. Somewhere around $4 to $5 would be good here. It makes it look like a value bet/defensive bet at the same time.

Re: AQ button after MP raiser - 25NL

Reraising preflop in position with AQ is essential in this spot. You need to define your hand here, if he reraises you preflop you can safely assume your up against a big hand, AA,KK,QQ or AK. As...

Re: top 2 too weak?

I agree with Elrazor you need to raise preflop with this hand 6-handed. After the Flop you can make a pot sized bet, but the way you played there are 5 people seeing the flop which makes your hand...

Re: plo100 - playing blockers badly?

Hand 1 it seems as if your opponent had a set of 10's or K's. I don't know if he is making a value bet on the end like that if he had a straight. I must say you are defiantly pushing thin here but...

Re: ($16) Reraised with AJ later rounds

i would not call the 1640 Out of Position with AJs. You only lost 500 i think you could easily be dominated here. The best thing your looking for is a pair of 10's or lower for your opponent to have.

Re: ($24) AQo in BTN vs. CO\'s raise

Re: WCOOP PLO hand

Personally I don't think you should be playing this hand from early position and early in the tournament.

What was the result, Did he have something like A3xx or 23xx?

Re: Fold Equity - what is it? and does it really apply in PLO?

Here is a formal definition of Fold Equity I found at Wikipedia.

Fold Equity is a concept in poker strategy that is especially important when a player becomes short-stacked in a no limit (or...

Re: Fold Equity - what is it? and does it really apply in PLO?

Janelle,

I must admit that Fold Equity before the flop in PLO really does not exist so much because no hand is such a big underdog that you can make someone fold. However Post Flop it can exist.

Re: Fold Equity - what is it? and does it really apply in PLO?

Hi Janelle,

When we talk about equity in the general sense basically what it means is your share or % of you owning the pot. We are not talking about odds to make your hand, its just your...

Re: Correct spot to blockbet? $2/2

I agree that your must likely not getting bluffed into here.

Yes its possible you can just be up against trips here and having the winning hand, but most probably you are beat.

The smooth call...

Re: plo $100 deep

I would be worried about having outs that are dead for you.

You really need to pair the board here, and its likely that your opponents have those cards in their hand. Your straight draw to the...

Re: plo $100 deep

I'm in agreements with everyone that calling on the turn is probably the best play here given the action already.

However, I'm just curious why you wouldn't want to raise your hand preflop, is it...

Re: 200NL - TPTK in 3bet pot deep

I think you should have bet the turn, you lose the lead there. Instead of calling 66 u should have bet it.

He could be just betting on the end as a defensive bet, its an easy call.

Re: Making a Move Deep against regular

Hopefully your up against two over cards and he's just making a continuation bet, call the flop and see what he does next.

Re: FT200 4 diamonds, I have the Q

I agree with napkins, you need to make a bigger raise that 5 dollars preflop, you don't want to give anyone a cheap flop, since you do have a decent hand 4 handed.

Re: 2 hands 100NL, what to do

Hand 1 - I am putting this guy on a KQ QJ Q10 type of hand, I personally would re raise on the flop to take control of the pot and hopefully get paid when a couple of non scary cards hit the turn and...

Re: (39) Bubble in SB vs aggro

A different way to play it would be to check call on the flop, trying to keep the pot small since you are in bubble play. On the Turn you can fire a nice size bet. If you get reraised then it is just...
