NL 25 AK weird turn spot and AQ blind battle

Hand 1. Villain is 17/7 TAG over 30 hands. I've seen him raise in position a few times but no hands were shown down. I think I mightve been floated, or does Beluga apply here?

Poker Stars,...

Re: Official Stars Regulars Thread: Part II

Hello. Thoughts on winnnar? I've been playing 6max 25NL for the past month or so...stopped playing FR.

Re: TPWK river call?

As played, is very tough to call, but its 50/50 for me, depending on read on villain.

If it was me, probably $2.50 blocking bet, fold to raise.

Re: 50nl: AA on hairy board...did I botch this?

I would be really tempted to call here and pay him off. But a fold is fine.

NL25 AKs multiway pot overcards and NFD

Third or fouth hand at the table. No reads. I actually meant to open raise for $1 here but misclicked. How often are we behind here? Would flat calling flop be a better play?

Re: Street by street analysis of a marginal hand

well OP's was HU. other than that...3 way pot...hero shows strength PF and fl. Donkish villain shoves and we are pretty priced in to call.

Re: Street by street analysis of a marginal hand

Not to hijack your thread, but here is a hand I recently played that is a similar situation. Like you, I decided to call.

Re: Street by street analysis of a marginal hand

I think you played this well PF with the 3-bet and the bet on the flop. However, When these kind of donks shove on top of us here after we've shown this much strength, it is seldomly a draw and he...

Re: NL 25 - 67d, where did i make the mistake?

Really? Can you explain to me why going to the felt for 100+bb with bottom pair and not even the nut flush draw is a good play?

I just think that hands that will play with us here would be a...

Re: Calling All-In\'s with Marginal hands vs shortstack LAGS

I think opening up your range here vs a LAG donk and playing for stacks with a marginal holding is a mistake. At least see a flop first...

Re: NL 25 - 67d, where did i make the mistake?

Nice aggressive play with a hand that is worthy of a flop. At least you aren't getting fancy with junk.

As played, is totally fine, maybe bet a little less on the flop. That way, if BTN shows...

Re: top set -line check

I dont care how tight villain has been, I just think we really shouldve 3-betted PF here to avoid crap like this from happening in a multiway pot.

As played, reraise shove turn, I think we have...

Re: Too aggressive with a set?

I think we lose a lot of value here by raising near pot on the turn. But he called that big raise on the flop, so we gotta assume hes got a weaker holding that he's willing to play. Guess not. Better...

Re: 67s flops bottom 2, river puke

solid fold. I think the turn bet is fine, its only slightly smaller than what it could have been

Re: The No Limit Paradigm

This is a very good post. However, I feel sometimes at 6max the implied odds of hands like 22-66 and J-9 goes down due to their lack showdown value.

Otherwise, its really about Position Position...

NL25 NFD GSSD I lost a lot of value

Villain is 15/14 over 70 hands. We are both very deepstacked. I think I gave him way too much respect here. Lead flop or C/R flop? What is a good line to take here?

Re: NL 25 - AQs on all streets

Wow, what a misplayed monster. At least bet $3 on flop, it disguises your hand and makes getting money in on later streets that much easier.

as played, raise to $16 or shove, but I doubt he'll...

Re: KK check-raised on an TTx flop

Call and re-evaluate turn. If a face card rolls off and he checks, bet and fold to a raise.

This may seem weak, but if he leads out for half the pot or more I would give serious consideration to...

Re: UTG Limpers

Tighten up your range and raise those UTG limpers with 77+, KQs+. This should make it easier on the flop, but is still very dependent on your hand reading skills.

Raising with J-10s type hands...

Bet more on the flop, you could always fill up. As played, is fine.

Unless he is doing this constantly, you're beat here everytime IMO.

He is limping a wide range on the button, but now he likely has JT/33/22.

Re: 25NL - Royal Draw Facing c/r on flop from nit

Nice hand. Besides flopping the ultimate nuts, this flop is about as good as it gets for your hand.

Shove, you have tremendous FE, but if I were you I would beg to get called.

25NL - Set over set, did I get too fancy?

I've noted before the start of this hand that villain raises 4x with premium high cards and 3x with more speculative hands such as SCs or mid PPs.

Did I get too fancy with the turn C/R? and Could...
