How big is your notes.txt file? Try opening it and see if you can add someone manually. If so then it must be some weirdness with the PS client. I would contact support to see if they know anything...

Be aware that more than one pro on the 6-mans pretty much ruins the table* ($119 and up). So those of us who play them (me, Mike McQ, Jhub) aren't usually super neato excited about someone like newt...
