Re: 4/180 - value bet straight on the river?

I think the river check is correct, my guess is you don't have the best hand here. I believe you should've raised more on the turn when you made you're straight. With a pot at 620 when it gets to you...

Re: $11 6 max on stars, what to do against donk?

Well according to your own list of villains range. Most of it got there on hand #1, this would be a crying call in the worst sense. Even though he's a donk he's almost never bluffing here.

Hand #2...

When I read the title of you're post I was expecting to see AJ on a j108 board with a a flush draw or something. In your hand there's a heart draw and thats it, what exactly are you so affraid of?

Re: FTP 24+2 Bluffing the River Am I really bad?

Agreed except if you are going to check the flop you should check the turn also. What makes the bluff better on the turn vs the flop?

Re: FTP 24+2 Bluffing the River Am I really bad?

[ QUOTE ]
In all fairness, his ten was good. He made a great call on the river, maybe we can give him some credit and not just call him a donk/fish that couldn't lay down middle pair.

Re: JJ 2nd level of $22 225 player MTT

How has the action been up to this point? How have these limpers been reacting to raises after limping?

If the pattern has been that raises such as the standard raise you made have been getting...

Re: 103s in BB, multi-way pot.

Any other thoughts here? Hands like these are one of my main weaknesses. Does everyone fold this hand for $5 into $35? Is it because of reverse implied odds?

Also, given how the hand actually...

Re: FTP 24+2 Bluffing the River Am I really bad?

I don't like this line against the type of player open limping a hand like Q10o. The fact that he has limped, then cold called ur raise, then called the turn signals that he is in defensive mode and...

Re: AQ in Re-raised pot

I don't like the check behind like most posters seem to advocate, because to most thinking players it will look like you have something like you have.

If you bet this flop like you did, on such a...

Re: I got confused, folded, and felt like a moron afterwards.

I don't think this is a standard fold vs. unknown. Seems more like a standard flop shove. You beat many more hands in his range that you lose to. I think this fold is weak/tight.

I think all aces...

Re: 100 nl TP and FD on turn

I'm assuming this was 6max. I think the reason you were so lost in this hand is you never took control, played it very passively.

Here are my thoughts at each stage:

Pre-flop: I'd like to see...

The vilain has not yet raised PF. He has limped twice and shown AA and QQ. I am pretty sure he is going to call if I push as the pot will be at $7.7K and he will have to call $3.2K. I am...

Re: AA 4-way with horrific flop.

Yes the stacks are tiny. This was a relatively new table maybe 45 mins old. Everyone must buy in for $100 and if you fall below 50 you can buy in for a total of $150, it's really stupid...

And why...

Re: FTP $7.5K - AA Facing AllIn on the River

This looks like a call without any reads. Just because you're getting such a good price, but I think alot of times u'll run into backdoor hearts q10,kq,k10 etc. , qj or possibly a set. But given the...

Re: 10 9 s WHY CALL/NOT CALL?

ok so you have 1155 in chips and will have 955 if you fold and 855 if you don't pick up a hand in the small blind. That leaves you with 6 or 7 hands to pick up something decent and get those 4.25...

Re: BB...nice flop for me....how much to raise here?

I think a shove here is probably best. The pot currently is at 2850, the most likely scenario here is that utg+1 has 109-a10 and the button has an OESD.

Lets say you raise the pot 2850 on the...

Re: 75$ FTP: 6-handed, tough spot with 7\'s preflop

I Like a fold here too. You are the big stack at the table so there's no reason to jeapordize this advantage in a marginal spot where you don't have any info on your opponent.

As you said this is...

Re: KQs on button. Short stacked late in tourny.

Ok, so it seems pretty unanimous shoving is best here.

I'm not sure I understand why though. I feel like if I bet half my stack it looks equally scary to a2-a9o in the SB or BB or even perhaps...
