Re: SB wants to bet after 3 checks behind him

yep, significant action has taken place. If he wanted to act, he should have spoken up long before it got around to the button. If he wasn't paying attention that's his fault.

I *think* (and...

Re: BLUE CHIP, INDIANA SUICIDE?

Update:

BC hasn't gone to pot rake yet /images/graemlins/frown.gif Seems it hasn't been IGC approved yet, so as soon as that goes through (and who knows how long that will be) we will be doing...

Re: MGM Grand to start using \"All-in/Call\" cards. . .

Sounds like this would be something that would make it easier for:

a) the person going all in not having to push out every last chip if he happens to have a good sized stack

b) others at the...

Re: BLUE CHIP, INDIANA SUICIDE?

On a semi-related note:

As of this morning (8/31), the poker room at BC goes to a raked pot of 10% up to $5 + $1 badbeat on all NL games.

I think the only timed rake game will be the 2/5 NL.

Re: When should the dealer push the chips to the winning player

[ QUOTE ]
Even so, the dealer was an idiot. It would be like an umpire calling the winner of a baseball game based on the score at the 4th inning. I would be very wary of playing while this dealer...

Re: Dealer forgot to give change

As a dealer I have to say: It's not TOO LATE. That is ridiculous. There are times I forget to make change for someone (if there is alot of change to be made preflop), but usually someone will...

Re: Post your experience of being a dealer

Another bit of advice (which comes in time after your more confident and running your game is more natural): Run your game, control your table.

What that means is don't let the players walk...

Re: Biggest dealer shortcuts

I would definatly agree with above. Know what the best and possible second best (straights up and down, etc) are, and anticipate what players might be playing with. This doesn't mean that they...

Re: Why do pros always put their chips in in a sloppy manner?

The move I hate the most as a dealer is the "flip the chips up into the air about 2 feet and have them smack down half way across the table".....Advice players: If you can do this and they snap down...

Re: Player folds cards and grabs them back? Ruling?

In our cardroom, it's forward motion all day so long as they weren't tabled....if a player turns them up, then it's a gray area as to whether he mucked em, or was just tabling them. But if the cards...
