Re: Weekdays in AC - Worth taking a trip down? Which Days?

I play mostly 10/20 limit so not sure about the no limit games. My experience is that the games are still beatable on the weekdays, but not as good as on the weekends.

Fridays are usually...

Re: i don\'t post hands that I played well

I cannot imagine folding here, especially when the third person has folded out of turned. I call and say "I always pay off quads".

Re: Head up vs good player

I really don't understand the whole line. Do you think he is checkraising the flop more often with a hand you are ahead of than with a Jack or better? Or really calling just hoping for a good bluff...

Re: Borgata vs. Taj Game Softness

[ QUOTE ]
I think 2/5 at the Taj plays slightly smaller than at Borgata most of the time. Also, if it makes any difference to you - 2/5 at Taj is raked vs time charge at Borg

I've stayed at the Borgota twice on weekdays and got the poker rate both times without giving any evidence of prior play.

Re: Blind steal meets resistance, for the first time...

Why does he need to have an Ace? Maybe he has a Queen and doesn't believe you have an Ace. I don't think it is very likely he can't beat King high.

Re: Bad Beat Jackpots = Zero Sum?

I have heard that a lot of casinos keep a lot of the jackpot money for themselves. Someone told me the Commerce pays out less than half. Cardrooms often use some of this money for other player...

Re: Is folding correct here?

What is the plan if hero does not complete the flush but hits a K or Q on the river?

Re: low/middle limit HORSE in vegas

I think Caesar's has a list for 3/6 or 4/8 Horse but it doesn't usually go. I was on the list last year and for several hours they had 6 or 7 people on but they never called the game.

Re: LC: AC this weekend - borgata mixed game interest?

Woo, I wish I had the bankroll for that!

I might be there on Sunday, but I have never played higher than 10/20.

Re: LC: AC this weekend - borgata mixed game interest?

The lowest limit mixed game I have ever seen is the regular 10/20 OE game. I have seen really big HOSE games going though, I think somewhere over 50/100.

I play in a regular 1/2 limit game in DC. Also occasionally in a NL (sometimes cash, sometimes SNG) in Alexandria. Let me know if you want info.

I would also be interested in hearing about more...

Re: quick Q: this is bad ettiquitte right?

This sounds bizarre - effectively someone bet 40 preflop, someone else called, then the better folded without even seeing the board for free? Is this really what happened?
Or was this river action?

Re: AQ from CO. Calling station?

I don't think that the horse players are going to c/r bluff the flop and then follow through the whole way. There is not even a draw on the flop, he would have to be betting complete air the whole...

Re: Poker Pro tables at Mohegan Sun

I think Stud would be very hard to play on these tables. I didn't think they had a display of players' hands big enough that other players could see them from across the table.

I have only seen a...

Re: 5/10 vs 3/6 LHE

The Borgata spreads both as well, although the 5/10 doesn't always go. When I have tried it a few times it was pretty loose though.

Re: The Worst Strategy You\'ve Overheard at a Table

I think people are considering two different types of jackpots. Most jackpots where I have played are Bat Beat Jackpots, where someone has to lose with a big full house or better. Even if a royal...

Re: 2/4 - I see monsters

I think it is unlikely villain has 88 - it looks like the 9 helped his hand. He very well could have K9 or 89 though, and I think after just one river raise from him, either of those are more likely...

I was suprised they do that at the Borgata timed games too, but most people do. It doesn't make much of a difference to me, and I don't want to make waves so I chop too. There are some regulars who...
