Re: Questions about the Orleans Poker Room

I appreciate all the comments. It doesn't sound like a place I'd enjoy. I'll stick with playing at the MGM, and I'll try my hand at 1/2 NL (Lord help me).

Questions about the Orleans Poker Room

I'm going to Vegas in two weeks. Has anyone been to the Orleans poker room since the latest renovations have been done? Also, how soft is the 4/8 O8 game?

Re: New to Vegas - Micro limit player

I'm going to Vegas in December, and I'm in a similar boat. I don't have the modest poker skills that I used to, and I've rarely played in a NL cash game in a casino (and very rarely online - and...

Re: RUMOUR, French Lick Springs Casino closing its poker room.

I called the casino yesterday. The poker room is still open. I'm going there this Saturday.

Re: UB\'s Elimination BlackJack game has launched

Oh - and last night they had 10+1, 20+2, 30+3, 50+5 and higher EBJ SNGs.

Re: UB\'s Elimination BlackJack game has launched

I didn't really time it. SNGs probably go 30 to 40 minutes to completion - but it depends on the number of people that are alert.

Re: UB\'s Elimination BlackJack game has launched

I won my first tourney in Elimination Blackjack last night. 44 entrants in a $5.50 tourney - $77 first prize.

Also - I did win a $5.50 SNG in 8 hands. Really.

Re: UB\'s Elimination BlackJack game has launched

My first impression - this is very addicting and very challenging. I'm kind of glad there are only 5.5 SNGs while I try to figure this out.

This sounds like fun. A good change of pace from poker.

Re: New Article on HR 4411

So, basically, the main reason this won't pass the Senate is not because this bill is severely flawed and misguided, but because the Democrats want to defeat Kyl in November? Politics is ridiculous.

Re: Going to Vegas soon - where are the best tournaments?

I thought the noon Caesar's tourney was an $80 buy-in with a $50 rebuy?

Re: Bravo Celebrity Poker

Games 1 and 3 were pretty good this season. The other 3 were not, with game 4 being particularly awful. I expect the championship this week to be at least better than games 2, 4 and 5.

Game 1...

Re: Ceasar\'s Daily Tournies

Thanks - I'll probably get there earlier than 11, buy in, then play some 3-6 while I'm waiting. Can't wait until I get out there in less than 4 weeks!

I would normally be somewhat interested in trying out the new room IF I got around to it on my next trip to LV.

Re: This weeks CP

They were bad, but I know I've seen even worse in previous years. I just can't recall which episode it was.

What about Omaha 8 (limit)?

Does anyone have that regularly in the Vegas? Or semi-regularly?

Re: AP or WPEX

According to the WPEX site:

3 tabling 3/6 for 20 hours a week "saves" $2494.80 in rake per month. Take $2494.80 / (20 * 4.5 (weeks)) = $27.27 per hour 3 tabling.

Re: How tough is the $200 HORSE tournament on Full Tilt?

I played in it once and got 4th place (and I outlasted the two pros in the tourney that week). And, I'm an idiot. You just have to pick your spots and get lucky.

Re: full tilt $200 horse

I qualified for this week's $200 HORSE tourney via a 35+3 SNG. I never have played HORSE before that satellite - I got very lucky. I'd love to hear comments from those who have played this event...
