Re: Stars $50 - Overpair vs flop raise

What if the board came J53 rainbow instead? Does that increase villain's set likelihood enough that some of you are folding here?

Re: NL5 - set on a flush board

Don't know what to say, except for the obvious. Call and hope to pair the board. If it does, bet the pot. If it doesn't, check and see what he bets on the river.

Re: 50NL- 44 Flops a Full House

I agree that reraising the flop seems like the better play, but is the alternative that much worse? I don't think that occasionally calling and then checking the turn is out of the question because...

Re: NL25: AA v 2 NIT robots. $24 in the pot $16 left. Q on flop.

You got QQ dude to make a mistake by calling your reraise preflop.

Re: NL25: AA v 2 NIT robots. $24 in the pot $16 left. Q on flop.

I think that you played it fine preflop. I'd probably have reraised to ten or so, with of the intention of getting all in on almost any flop, which lots of KKs will call. You're probably ahead. If...

Re: 25NL vs 50NL vs 100NL

25NL seems to have a lot of regulars but also seems to be the level that first-time players occasionally pop up in. 25NL is generally passive. Many of the more aggressive players have problems...

Re: .01/.02 AA utg facing calling atation

Sure, you're worried about a set, but .01/.02 NL is filled with a LOT of players who are calling stations and who chase hands that they should not be chasing. I'm sure that if you push all in on...

Re: 10NL AK against pressure

Kind of a spastic play on his part. What would an unknown 10NLer be playing here in this way: imo, AK, KQ, KJ, KT, 88, 44, slowplayed AA. Some 10NLers play any K and any A, so I would probably add...

Re: .01/.02 AA utg facing calling atation

I think your preflop raise is fine. On the turn I would have reraised him all in. Once you see him calling the flop, I would do whatever I could to get his stack in the middle on later streets.

Re: Is this a nit fold?

Good fold. You'd only be calling to flop a set, and you're not getting good value even IF BB decides to call. And if BB raises again, you're screwed.

Re: Live - QQ deepstacked, what am I doing on the turn?

I like your fourbet preflop, and I agree his call is bad if he's got 88, 55, 22. If he's got 99: does he even get to the turn? Could have TT, JJ, KK, AA, AdKd, maybe AdQd. Then again live players...

Re: made trips on turn lead out and opponet shoves $50nl

Dunno. He's pushing into BB who could very well have a 7, and he probably knows that a lot of players with call with a 7 here. Villain is bad, but dunno how bad. A bluff here seems really bad.

Re: made trips on turn lead out and opponet shoves $50nl

If he's playing 85% of his hands, he could have K7 Q7 J7 etc., all of which beat you. Any flopped set beats you. When you bet on the river, he pretty much knows you're representing at least trips,...

Re: 10NL Set on scary board

He lost to the dude with J9. I think your turn call was mandatory, and on the river you have the winner most of the time.

Re: NL25 KK prefl. shove

I like what Sounded Simple said. A lot of setminers will call a big reraise--to $6 or $7 for example--still trying to setmine. I'd rather punish them with a raise like that than push them out...

Okay, 50,000 FPPs. That's 714 entries into 70 FPP satellites to the Sunday hundred grand. Do those satellites 40 at a time, averaging one win in eight tourneys. That's 89 wins of $11 bucks. ...
