Re: Help improving my game (stats included)
nice charts, what tool made these?
Widen your preflop raising range. You're raising too tight and thinking LAGs can take advantage of this by playing speculative hands vs you perfectly.
Play your...

Re: 2/4 Top Two on the best board in the world.
Do you have PFR stats on villian UTG+1? Many 6-max TAGs are around 25/15/3. That 15 says all pairs, all suited broadway, KJo+, suited aces A4+, T9s+.
AQ is ahead or races a lot of this range...

Re: Imperial Palace vs. Venetian
no question. IP is a pit and smells like ass.
Venetian is fantastic and the poker room is the nuts.
Only real problem with staying at Venetian is that you're a little isolated if on foot. But...

Re: Live Vegas $1/2NL vs $2/5NL
Are you guys serious? I don't consider myself a great player, just nicely +BB/100 online. Last time I played $1/$2NL at the Venetian, Greg Raymer was in the $5/10NL. No thanks.
Anyways I'm not...

Live Vegas $1/2NL vs $2/5NL
I am a winning regular online player in $200NL (1/2) and $400NL (2/4).
When in Vegas I usually play the $1/2NL at MGM or Venetian and am familiar with the flavor of these games. The way I see...

Re: Best Vegas Casino For Wife.........
Players at MGM can sometimes be a little tricky/serious (or crazy/drunk) and its clear most are tourists. Excalibur (across the bridge) is way more easygoing. Venetian has a great room and is...

Re: Too weak with QQ?
Villian's point of view -
Reraise preflop to isolate.
After you check I'd bet this with any two (and my AK might be best!)
Back to your decision, was your plan to definitely c/f if you didn't...

Re: lossing a weak tight attitude
I had the same problem. Total weak/tight fish, 45/5/1.
I moved from 10 player full ring to 6-handed or 5-handed. It made me better at postflop HU play.
I totally stopped multi-tabling to...

Re: $1/2 NL Very Deep, Top 2
Think about how you'd play the villian's hand here.
You bet 4xBB UTG with AA-JJ, button calls.
Flop comes rags but with a spade flush draw.
You lead out with a 1/2 PSB and button pops it.
You...

Re: FT-NL100 6MAX----Put him on a set or two pair
I don't think the 50/50 part is important. This problem is a perfect illustration of the value of FE.
Here you are _just_ even money and _don't_ have any FE whatsoever. Do you *call* 150BB with...

Re: FT-NL100 6MAX----Put him on a set or two pair
If the plan is to be cautious I like the concept behind the minraise on the flop. If everyone folds behind you, CO is sure to call with any connection to this flop, and will probably check the turn...

Re: Trying not to suck at NL: AKA Live 2/5 hand
if I was the villian and had the 9-6, 9-2, or 6-6 full house I just call your $50, hoping to make $40 more off each of the two MP players chasing a dead flush draw, and hoping they'll catch a river...

Re: 99 on the button $5/$10 full table
Because of his lead-out I put him on a PP. The turn was a scare card for him.
You didnt say which of the 456 was a heart but Ah3h, Ah4h, Ah5h another possibility. I like checking the river with...

40/4 Fish seeking transformation to 30/15 (long)
I'm a fish (LP, 40/4/1) :-(
I'm genuinely profitable (+15BB/100 over past 20k hands) playing 5-handed $2NL and $4NL. But the 30/15 players on my site are doing way better than me. I hope to...
