Re: Flop Decision - Omaha H/L

Raise, I'm on the button, and can my get the river card free. If I hit, I have more in the pot and can bet the turn. Or I could bet again buying the right to a bluff on the River if nothing comes.

Re: Rivered 2nd Nut flush but paired board - Value Bet River OOP?

At 0.50/1 and lower, I'd call the raise. But 1/2 and higher, I'll fold. As 0.5/1 and lower is a bit screwy.

I think what the guys at CardAcadamy.com are saying is sound, dominating strategy for...

Re: I never know how to handle these

Cooker, the hand is definitely worth playing. A4xx rainbow on the button is playable because of position. In this case, it has excellent value with 4 already in the pot.

Re: PTO db

Yes, there is an easy method to do that, read the FAQ at pokertracker, or the help in the program.

I recommend you extract out the data at the levels your and and where your going and create a...

Re: Insane River Bluff Raise worked

I think so too - busted draw, semi bluff turn, bluffed river and got re-raised by some donkey who was running over the table.

Re: I never know how to handle these

Raise river, you're near end of action, so you won't risk losing overcalls. You have 5 in pot, 1 is All in, so you still have 4; thus you're +EV. You will split and break even a small precentage,...

Re: Insane River Bluff Raise worked

I can't see SB with Aces or Kings. He had a great opportunity to reraise preflop to get HU and it didn't happen.

My best guess is A3 with heart flush draw.

My second best guess is two pair JQ...

Re: Rivered 2nd Nut flush but paired board - Value Bet River OOP?

Clearly, the advice applies only for high hands where no low is possible. Obviously, there are far too many tight donks who raise their nut low on the river.

Re: Play AAAT? WCOOP HORSE MTT

I think the best thing to do is slide one of the aces up your sleeve and muck the rest. It bound to be a hand where you win a little or lose alot. Its crippled from the start.

Re: Long sessions

12 Tabling? Does that require medication to do?

I can do 3 tables and keep my efficiency. At 4 I have a rapid drop off of gathering info on my opponents and their weaknesses.

Re: Rivered 2nd Nut flush but paired board - Value Bet River OOP?

I ran it by my coach over at CardAcadamy-dot-com. He had a very simple answer. "Your going to call a bet anyway, so simply bet and fold to a raise."

Thus, statistically, you'll get value. Rarely...

Re: Insane River Bluff Raise worked

I did it out of sheer desperation while drooling over the size of the pot. I've never River bluff raised before, and at these limits few would muck. But the size of the pot made it worth a shot. ...

Insane River Bluff Raise worked

What in hell happened at the River? Why did my crazy bluff raise work?

Table texture : I'd been running roughshod over the table, winning over 35BB. Showing down winners, and the table was a bit...

Re: Collision with a Hyper LAG - How to combat?

I ran two dimes on the hand. I had ~60% equity preflop and 63% on the flop. So I can't kick myself too hard. I drop to ~40% on the turn. I think with pot odds, a call down is +EV from then on.

Re: $10/$20 LO8 hand from EP

In a low limit game, I'd play this the same. But preflop would be different if the game was loose. Tight, you played it as I would hoping to get HU.

villian is hard at work trying to tell you he...

Re: Long sessions

I noticed this independently and wrote about it. There is some science behind the fade you speak of. Personally, my win rate falls off after 2-3 hours. The fading is mental fatigue and minor...

Collision with a Hyper LAG - How to combat?

This is the most complex hand I've posted. I'm not playing the cards here, but the Villain.

Villain here is the Cutoff. I really don't like getting in his face because he's hyper LAG and will...

Rivered 2nd Nut flush but paired board - Value Bet River OOP?

I'd been running roughshod over the table. My agg factor was over 5.0 for the 100+ hands I'd played. There was a LAG in the game, but not in the hand, so I was hoping to take the pot down on the...

Continuation Betting at LIMIT Low Stakes

I'm asking the forum for advice when NOT to CB after a PF raise.

Ok, I'm playing LIMIT low stakes where I can find and plug my leaks cheaply.

There are some adjustments down at these lower...

Re: BB/100/hour projections-is everyone banking this?

Hell, I'm one of those inventive/creative types whos started 10+ companies. But I can't even break even at 2/4 O8. I've even hired another employee so can have more free time for poker (and other...

Re: LO8: Top pair, nut flush draw and 1 blocker

You damn right I'm digging for pair specific posts! I have a leak in my post flop game, Buzz, and I desperately need to find and plug it.

My first thought on my leak is maybe how I play pairs, in...

Re: A3 misplay of top pair?

My reasoning is to call down to river cheaply with 2 pair. 2 pair do very poorly in the low limits vs mid. Further, many opponents let their dogs and cats pick their starting hands, so crazy things...

Re: LO8: Top pair, nut flush draw and 1 blocker

I'm wondering why the Turn bet here. There aren't enough players to warrant pot odds to bet the draw again, and he only has top pair which seems very thin.

Is it a +EV semi bluff? Trying to buy...

Re: 5/10 lo8: multiway pot with two pair and okay low

I"m not so sure of the river bet, there are straights that might have been made on the river. The low straights are quite possible be being in the card range of your opponents. Your probably better...
