Re: WSOP Circuit events at Harrahs AC...

You should be fine three hours before. If you are going to go down the night before there will be absolutely no line. Thats what I did for the same event last March at Caesars.

Re: 17 way chop - was it a good decision

It becomes a crapshoot with the blinds that high. It was only a $25 buy-in tourney, I don't think 4th place money is that bad of a chop when you have a chance of calling a shortstacks all-in with a...

Taj Mahal

I asked this over in the tournament circuit forum but didn't get any response. I was wondering if anyone who has been down at the Taj lately noticed the field sizes for Trump Classic events. Thanks.

Re: Harrah\'s vs. Showboat (AC)?

Showboat for the 7pm... start with 15000 in chips, blinds start at 50-100, but there are no antes. The play in general is pretty soft. The tournament staff is hit or miss, but the room is...

Re: Weekdays in AC - Worth taking a trip down? Which Days?

I have still had a good experience on week days. The tournaments are still soft and I don't think you can go wrong anywhere with the 1/2 game, but I would stick to Caesars or Borgata

Re: 18+ card rooms around bay area

Table mountain casino outside Fresno is like 3.5 away. I would stick with Jackson though, friendship is their largest jackpot

Re: Writing a Business Plan

Thanks for the responses. I will definitely be using both resources. Anyone know any specific resources for building a business plan for a restaurant?

Re: The Showboat in AC The good, the bad and the UGLY!

Ya I like the tournaments a lot as well. The people are horrible and the staff is decent. There is an occasional slip up but the poor competition makes it worth it. I have ft'ed in 3 of the 5...

Re: AC - Showboat Tournies

Play the 7pm. They get a pretty decent turn out (100-150) so that adds up to a nice prize pool. The competition is sub par and the structure is pretty nice. You get an extra 5000 in chips. Play...

Re: Harrah\'s AC Poker Open - 5/11-5/17

I heard about it from John Arthur, the Harrah's room manager at the WSOP circuit at Caesars in March. He said they were expecting pretty decent sized fields. They have had fliers all over the...

Re: Opie and Anthony tournament at Showboat

Blinds at the showboat move at the same rate as every other tournament in AC with the Borgata being the exception. I think its 20 minutes for the weekday tournies and 30 minutes on the weekend. I...
