Re: Archives not working

Bump, a lot of valuable information. It would be shame if it were not recovered.

LO8, Optimum way to get maximum value out of strong made hands.

I'm looking for ways to get more value out of my strong made hands. In the example below, I flop top set and get raised. Against an unknown opponent, would I get more value by just calling here and...

LO8 Naked nut low draw on turn facing raise..

SB is loose and goes to Showdown a lot. BB is tight and kindof passive.

In this hand, I have the nut-low draw and nothing else on the turn. It was really weird for both of them to come alive on...

Re: A few general questions

Welcome to the forum.

1. .25/.50 should be fine, but if your bankroll drops too far, you can move down to .10/.20. Having played in both of those games, there is very little difference in skill...

Re: .50/1 LO8 6-max hand

Hmm, what kind of range are we putting the SB on to make the call worthwhile?

23xx is a big part of his range. Perhaps has a set? I just don't see him 3-betting flop and then leading turn with...

Re: Flopping trips from the BB with nothing else in loose limit games

Try to keep the pot small, by check-calling. Off the top of my head, I believe you fill up somewhere around 30-35% by the river? Someone I'm sure will chime in with a more exact figure.

Re: another low type hand

I'd fold pre-flop unless you feel very comfortable playing this marginal hand. On the flop I might bet out or I might fold. Turn is a fold unless I have a strong read.

Once again, I may well be...

Re: I still don\'t get these low only hands

I'd check/call turn and river, as your hand is a pulling hand. Betting on the turn allows someone with a full-house to raise and possibly knock out someone with a 5 and low kicker. If these 5xxx...

.50/1 LO8 6-max hand

I had just sat down, no player specific reads. The game seems to be playing loose and somewhat aggressive.

Re: bottom set in the bb

I'd personally slow down on the turn, and probably go into check-call mode.

Re: .50/1 LO8 Feel Free to Berate Me

Yep, it was a mistake. A poor decision. But if I were forced to play the hand postflop, would the flop raise simply be spewing?

.50/1 LO8 Feel Free to Berate Me

I pretty much came to the conclusion that I played this hand horribly. I should have folded preflop, folded flop, and not gotten so aggressive on the turn. In this hand, SB is unknown and BB is very...

Re: Simple Question

I would bet as well, but I also wouldn't normally raise this hand UTG. I only play low stakes (1/2) though.

.50/1 LO8 Shorthanded vs UTG raise

Villain runs about 32/11 shorthanded and seems to have a pretty decent idea of what he is doing.
