Re: 27: hit flop w/ ak, safe board

I don't really like limping AK UTG +1 in this spot. and I don't really like the flat call. It's not horrible, but this is my reasoning. First off, his raise to 6x the BB is quite large especially for...

Re: Extracting Max Value from big hands using aggressive image

Just to add: The reason I find myself not understanding how I am not getting the action I desire is that if I do hit a big hand (say flop top two pair), If i check when I'm first to act, this seems...

Extracting Max Value from big hands using aggressive image

This is more of a situational post, as it pertains to situatins I have been in, opposed to a few sample hands. I generally play $22 - $55 6-max SNG's. I tend to play tight in the early levels, but...

Re: 88 in SB, limped around preflop.

There seems to be a misconception that people are only calling his shove with premiums. I have played these $6.50 SNG"s which I believe are turbos as well. A large shove, in retrospect due to the #...

Re: What range of hands do u raise against tight passive in HU nl sng\'

[ QUOTE ]
And i mean preflop play of course. Ax, (A2,A3?), Kx(what kickers), Suited Kx-Jx, any pair of course (big pairs: AA,KK,QQ), suited connectors (semi-connectors and unsuited connectors?).

Re: 88 in SB, limped around preflop.

I do not think a shove is a terrible play. I just don't think it's necessarily right in this spot.
- why are we racing for all our chips in the first level with all 9 players remaining? And if we...

Re: Second Chance I thought OP\'s were the nuts.

Becuz you have no real read on villain I think calling the PF raise is fine even tho it is larger than std. PF raise. I don't like 3-bet, if you 3bet PF, and villain calls: if flop comes down like...

Re: 88 in SB, limped around preflop.

i like to limp this pot, due to your position, you are either going to build a giant pot OOP, I really don't like shove, so I think call is the best choice here. If you limp, you are still OOP and...

Re: Help me plug my leaks

[ QUOTE ]
What else can I do to find out whatever I'm doing wrong? The only thing I can think of is that my play has evolved while at the $16's, and that really doesn't work at the $6.5's anymore. ...

Re: Value of the top pair in HU NL and nature of HU nowadays

When you do encounter these low level "sharks" at your table, play them very carefully and have a purpose to your betting. No pot sized bluffs with 6 high, just cuz u hope he will fold. These players...

Re: Value of the top pair in HU NL and nature of HU nowadays

I have played a ton of HU sng's online and I have a constant HU Shootout every Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday between a few of my buddies. We keep records and whoever comes out with the most points by...

Re: $55 NLTRN: facing fairly big c/r shove on the flop

I kno that contradicts what I said earlier, but this is structured hand analysis and how we all get better. So what I do and say may be two diff things, but I don't always do the right things when...

Re: $55 NLTRN: facing fairly big c/r shove on the flop

in my own experiences, I am that guy who never folds AJ here and finds himself drawing super slim. I would fold AJ here, this early.

Re: Preflop $6.50 Stars 4th Level Decision

FOLD, at best you are coinflip... To call open shove of 9.5 BB's with at best 50% equity when you are chipleader against a loose cannon in the early levels is just not a risk you need to be taking. I...

Re: HELP! I\'m becoming a calling station!

i understand, hence, the title of thread, i am turning into a calling station.
I'm just wondering how to tighten back up without losing or passing up any significant edges.

HELP! I\'m becoming a calling station!

I play either 6max SNG's or 45 person SNG's. When I am playing the 45 person, I can take my time, pick my spots, get away from any sketchy spots as I know there is PLENTY of play before and during...

Re: $55 NLTRN: facing fairly big c/r shove on the flop

In the earlier stages of these SNG's it's prob the most profitable time to call PF raises OOP with marginal holdings as the raises are rarely more than 5% of one's stack.

I don't think this is a...

Re: HUSNG - Marginal hand OOP on turn

[ QUOTE ]
I'd rather raise it against somebody who's limping AND raising PF, as you can be pretty sure you have the stronger hand.

It's tough to raise a hand like KTo OOP to a constant limper...

Re: $100 HU SNG - Flopped Qhi Flush - Can i get away from AI on turn?

First off, the whole hand, was just being played weird, like when you can sense that the both of you have a monster, and all the money is going in no matter what. I don't really know why I felt it, I...

Re: $100 HU SNG - Flopped Qhi Flush - Can i get away from AI on turn?

i have never folded a smaller flush online. ever. I have only done it a few times with a live read, where the guy almost jumped out of his seat when 3rd suited card hit. Thanks for all the input.

Re: $100 HU SNG - Flopped Qhi Flush - Can i get away from AI on turn?
