Re: Check-raise this river?

Given your detailed reads, sounds like a great spot for a river sexy. It sounds like you're pretty sure he won't raise you if you bet, and it seems unlikely that a TAG will check behind that card...

[ QUOTE ]
I would have raised the turn, too. However, you wanted overcalls and called. Why then, did you raise the river with the big full, thereby losing two potential overcalls?

In answer to which Ax I'd 3-bet, I'd only do it if I felt that the value was there - my test is whether I'd be able to correctly value bet the river unimproved much. So probably AQ/AJ...

Re: Need help getting out of a gym contract

Don't do #3. Generally speaking, businesses have very little incentive to cater to a customer who is leaving. Why should they give you free money when you are legally bound to a contract in their...

Re: Donk of death the river?

[ QUOTE ]
Is he a good player? Your raise out of SB is likely 10-10+ or AQ+. You are not betting the turn w/JJ or AK (unless its specifically AsKs, and even then...). So, if he is a thinking...

Re: Donk of death the river?

This seems like a good spot to go for a c/r, unless the BB is really super passive and will not bet his likely 2-pair.

On the turn, the Dude has as many as 10 outs and there's even a chance he has the best hand unimproved.

in over my head

So I find myself sitting in a 1/2 game again, feeling somewhat over-matched aside from two obvious weak spots. The villain here is a TAG, possibly a pro, and probably views me as weak. Earlier he...

Re: Fun w/ ATs

What hands are you giving the BB that you can't bet that river? And given that range, why are you calling the turn?

I would also lead the flop, but fold for two as played.

Re: KQs. Flop=yay. Turn= nay

My instinct is to raise with the intention of not putting any more money into the pot, but I dunno, folding against a super passive guy seems ok too.

I'd fold preflop from that early, and just fold the river as played against a bad player. No need to try to win every pot.
