Re: NLHE - Requesting a Chip Count

[ QUOTE ]
Someone asking for a count is entitled to know exactly how much you have.

[/ QUOTE ]

Wrong. A player is only entitled to an exact count of chips that have been bet. Your...

Re: I Want to See That Card: A Variation

[ QUOTE ]
My big blind. I'm in seat #1. In seat #2 is a fairly tight player, very, very nice guy, a gentleman. He open-raises.

All fold to seat #8 on the button. A first-class jerk. Arrogant...

Re: you forgot to make a side pot? ok. you dropped the deck too? >:|

[ QUOTE ]
I think the ruling is incorrect. Stub and muck should be shuffled, burn and bring river card. Then later dealer should be counseled for mucking the stub. We don't require dealers to put...

Re: Who gets the KITN?

[ QUOTE ]
The dealer gets a KITN. 20% is a trivially easy to notice.

What it boils down to is Player A was dishonest about the size of his bet. In these situations, I'm in favor of rulings that...

[ QUOTE ]
Resorts in Indiana 5-10 nl.

[ QUOTE ]
Dealer calls a string bet. Legit or not?

[/ QUOTE ]

Nope. Dealers can't call string bets. Only players in the hand.

obv you get the side pot but then the main pot should be decided by the completion of the hand. reconstitute the stub as best as can be done, shuffle it and then complete the hand.

Re: TD penalty ruling, was this correct?

Asking for a count is not action. I would not consider this to be "playing out of turn" deserving of a penalty. I do think it is poor etiquette and would ask the player to wait in the future though.

Re: Ruling Re: Raise or Call

This is what I meant in my earlier post. If the player's intent was clear then the dealer should have handled it without calling the floor person. If the player's intended action was so unclear that...

Ruling Re: Raise or Call

In my opinion if your player is taking back part of his 1st bet and adding another chip to his action then the bet is not a single oversize chip. My opinion is that the player is actually taking...

Re: Ruling Re: Raise or Call

I believe this is technically a raise and absolutely would stand as a raise if another player had acted before the player spoke up.

On the other hand, if i'm dealing the game and the player spoke...

Re: A situation I\'ve never seen before

What was described is that the pre-flop action was never completed so the only card that was handled correctly was the 1st burn card. I would have had the dealer:
1. take back all board cards...

Re: What\'s the correct ruling on this situation?

[ QUOTE ]
I think one of the most important lessons here is that a hand is never mucked until it's actually in the muck. Rulings on this do vary from place to place, but a hand that a) hasn't been...

If only the blinds stay in after the flop....

[/ QUOTE ]

These are Florida players we are talking about. Rarely only the blinds in after the flop. Often 5 or more at showdown.

Omaha hi/lo hand odds

What are the odds that a player would get both A-5 straight flush for low and Royal for high? Say player is holding KQ23 all spades and the board is AJT45 all spades.

Re: Major dealer error - how do you rule

Not a dead hand.

Here is what Robert's says:

17. If the deck stub gets fouled for some reason, such as the dealer believing the deal is over and dropping the deck, the deal must still be played...

Re: question for the experts!

Tough beat but you cant base your whole poker career on the outcome of a single hand. The skill factor will impact your outcome over the long haul.
